Serie A 2025-26: Season Preview
Antonio Conte did a superb job in his first season as Napoli manager and will fancy his chances of guiding them to another Scudetto this term.
The board have backed Conte in the summer transfer window, bringing in several new players to strengthen an already impressive squad.
Centre-back Sam Beukema is a shrewd acquisition from Bologna, while Noa Lang will add attacking thrust after joining from PSV Eindhoven.
However, the club’s standout signing could be Kevin De Bruyne, who has arrived on a free transfer after a trophy-laden spell with Manchester City.
Napoli will be tough to stop in their quest to retain the Serie A title, but last season’s runners-up Inter could give them a run for their money.
Cristian Chivu has replaced Simone Inzaghi as manager, and he will be eager to build on the solid foundations he left behind.

Chivu guided Parma to safety in his first managerial role last season, but could not resist the temptation to return to a club he represented with distinction as a player.
Inter have been active during the transfer window, and more new arrivals are expected at the San Siro before the deadline. They should challenge this season.
Juventus are also expected to be in the mix. Manager Igor Tudor guided them to Champions League qualification after replacing Thiago Motta in March and will be keen to make further progress.
The Turin giants have signed several talented players this summer, including Jonathan David, who has joined the club on a free transfer from Ligue 1 outfit Lille.

David bagged 146 goals and 45 assists in 315 appearances for the French club and could be a prime candidate to win the Golden Boot in Serie A this season.
Roma, Milan, Atalanta and Lazio will be in contention for European qualification, but none of them appeals as likely winners of the title.
Juventus, Napoli and Inter are fancied to fill the top three positions, although there will probably be little to choose between them at the end of the campaign.
