Fulham survived Karim Benzema scoring twice to beat reigning Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad in Portugal on Wednesday.
The result made the Cottagers the second Premier League team of the five in action on Wednesday to win, with Liverpool victorious in Yokohama earlier in the day.

Newcastle lost 1-0 to a Korean top-flight all-star team on their Asian tour, while Forest were also in action in Portugal and Wolves played closer to home.
Fulham vs Al Ittihad: Four goals for Cottagers
After goalkeeper Bernd Leno made a smart early save from Benzema, Fulham surged into a 4-0 half-time lead through Harry Wilson’s strike from the edge of the penalty area, Emile Smith Rowe’s cross-shot from the left, Joshua King’s close-range third and defender Jorge Cuenca’s finish from a corner.
Substitute goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte initially repelled Benzema’s second-half penalty but the five-time Champions League winner scored from the rebound and added another from a counter-attack with 16 minutes remaining.

The ball hit the net four times after the break at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium, where left-sided Colombia international Deiver Machado struck from distance and much closer range with the final two goals of the Ligue 1 team’s 3-1 win.
Wesley Said headed in Tom Pouilly’s cross for the opener and set up Deiver Machado’s second, with Goncalo Guedes netting from long range for Wolves to briefly reduce the deficit 2-1.

Nottingham Forest vs Estoril Praia: Goalless stalemate
Estoril finished eighth in the Primeira Liga last season and their hopes of improving upon the fourth-worst defensive record in the Portuguese top flight may have been lifted by holding Forest to a drab draw.
Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels made an early save to deny 19-year-old defender Tiago Parente, who also fired wide before the break.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ryan Yates and 18-year-old academy player Jimmy Sinclair all tested former Atletico Madrid, Everton, Real Betis and Leeds United goalkeeper Joel Robles in goal for the hosts.
Forest play the first of three friendlies in a week when they visit Birmingham City on August 2 (15:00 BST / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT).
Their league season starts at home to Brentford on August 17 (14:00 BST / 09:00 ET / 06:00 PT), with the game shown live on Sky Sports+.
Forest team (first half): Sels, Williams, Morato, Sangare, Anderson, Gibbs-White, Wood, Jesus, Yates, Boly, Abbott
