FourFourTwo predicts the 2025/26 League Two table

The 2025/26 season is just around the corner, and with that in mind, we look to FourFourTwo who predicts the League Two table.

We turn our attention to the fourth tier division, and as always, it causes plenty of reaction and debates on social media with many checking out the bookies odds.

Have a look at who they thought would finish from 24th to 1st below, some will surprise, others not so…

24) ACCRINGTON

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 24th place (relegated) for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “Woods, Devon Matthews and Tyler Walton have talent, but Stanley’s squad looks raw. The Reds’ reliability, despite limited funds, is now less obvious after a lowest finish since promotion to the EFL in their current guise.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 23rd place (relegated) for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 21st.

23) NEWPORT

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 23rd place (relegated) for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “The exiles finished one place above the drop zone last term, and that was with a stunning shot-stopper in now-deported Nick Townsend.

“Preparation is better this year, but injury to Baker or Kamwa would be fatal.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 21st place for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 22nd.

22) HARROGATE

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 22nd place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: Retaining O’Connor and Belshaw was vital to town’s chances of securing a seventh season in the EFL.

“Without them, their squad looks limited; with them they may keeper just enough clean sheets to stay up.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 20th place for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 18th.

21) CHELTENHAM

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 21st place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “Incoming owner mike Garlick should implement change – in time.

“The Robins have assets – Arkell Jude-Boyd is one – but business has been slow.

“Jordon Thomas is set to follow Sam Stubbs’ exit. It could be tough.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 18th place for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 15th.

20) SHREWSBURY

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 20th place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “Appleton is among the EFL’s best talent developers, but an off-beat appointment due to a reluctance to engage with fans – on edge – Shrews players weren’t even getting a post-match clap. Tension may build…”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 23rd place (relegated) for the 2024/25 League One campaign – instead they finished 24th (relegated).

19) TRANMERE

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 19th place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “With a takeover imminent, but too late to influence strategy, limbo prevails even with the arrivals of Patrick Brough and Jason Lowe.

“Existing personnel may not be chosen by the new regime so uncertainty abounds.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 12th place for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 20th.

18) BARROW

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 18th place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “Much depends on whether newbies Rekeem Harper, Jack Earing and Scott Smith are on the same level as the departed trio.

“Whing’s tenure has taken flight, yet still it’s hard to see where the goals come from.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 15th place for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 16th.

17) CREWE

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 17th place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: A promising play-off season was built on a sturdy defence and talented midfield, but undermined by dressing room challenges.

“If Bell has sorted those, another push is possible, but firepower is lacking.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 9th place for the 2024/25 League Two campaign – instead they finished 13th.
