Sky Sports presenter Keith Downie has got in a social media row with Mark Goldbridge, blasted for ‘spouting rubbish’.
Keith Downie and Mark Goldbridge got into a spat after Goldbridge mocked Downie’s report on Newcastle United’s bid for Benjamin Sesko, questioning his credibility.
Downie gave a lighthearted response, noting he was unfamiliar with the Youtuber, and then advised him to be cautious with his remarks.
Goldbridge hit back by pointing out Downie’s affiliation with Sky Sports, to which Downie replied sarcastically.
Downie’s response garnered significantly more likes than Mark Goldbridge, the latter receiving more backlash online.

In the above video, Goldbridge says: “Newcastle bid, Newcastle Bid, where is this Newcastle Bid? I can’t see anything about a Newcastle Bid.
“I’m on social media, I follow all the big accounts. I can’t see anything about a Newcastle bid. Is it for Fabrizio Romano? Is it David Ornstein? Oh, it’s Keith from Sky Sports. Oh, Keith! Keith from Sky Sports, here we go. Good old Keith from Sky Sports, never heard of him. Keith Downie, North East reporter for Sky Sports.
” Newcastle have made a formal bid to Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko. Their bid is 75 million euros plus five, which matches Leipzig’s valuation.
“65.5 plus 4.3. Newcastle have presented their vision to the Slovenian striker and made it clear they want the deal to happen.
“Sesko is considering the situation with Manchester United also at the table. He is open to both projects.
“And this is from Keith Downie and another journalist, Amar, who is also a news editor for Sky Sports. Wow, you know what? I’ll sit back down then. If you’d told me it was Keith.

After being tagged in a video of Goldbridge’s rant on Twitter, Downie wrote: “Class, cos I don’t know who he is either — thankfully.”
