Reading FC unveil a new 2025/26 home kit with a unique design which is dividing fans as they give their reaction on social media.
According to Reading Chronicle, the new strip, diverging from their traditional blue and white hoops with a floral-patterned design, pays tribute to the town’s Huntley and Palmers biscuit factory, which was operational from 1822 to 1970, a global leader exporting to 172 countries by 1900.
It led to the club’s former nickname, “The Biscuitmen” and now they want to recognise this in the shirt’s design, drawing from a 19th-century biscuit tin.
