The 2025/26 season is just around the corner, and with that in mind, we look to FourFourTwo who predicts the National League table.
We turn our attention to the fifth tier division, and as always, it causes plenty of reaction and debates on social media with many checking out the bookies odds.

Have a look at who they thought would finish from 24th to 1st below, some will surprise, others not so…
24) WEALDSTONE – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “Having arrived in January, Neil Gibson had to quit in May after securing a final day survival, as either commuting or relocating from Wales to Ruislip became unfeasible.
“In comes one time Stones interim and Ted Lasso extra Sam Cox, 24, whose coaching CV includes Spurs; academy, Guyana and the Baller League. His infectious enthusiasm will be necessary, especially with Kallum Cesay leaving for Salford. 24th”
23) BRACKLEY – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “Finally! After play-off heartache in six successive National League North campaigns, the Saints won the title to make sure this time.
“They’ve since nabbed Kidderminster’s Zak Brown, while former Wolves midfielder Jack Price, 32, brings Championship pedigree.
“Though gaffer Gavin Cowan will demand more, their first year at this level is ultimately about trying to survive. 23rd”
22) TRURO – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “If you hadn’t heard, Truro have become the first Cornish club ever to reach the fifth tier, lifting the National League South title only a year after having to play their home games far away in Gloucester.
“Truro will be putting the miles in – it’s a 920 mile round trip to Gateshead – but John Askey knows this division, having won it before with Macclesfield. Hot shot Tyler Harvey will be key to the Tinners’ survival hopes. 22nd”
21) BRAINTREE – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “The Essex side survived games to spare last season, but hot-shot forward Kyrell (son of Kevin) has left – the latest non-league gem snaffled by League One Peterborough and his 13 goals will be tough to replace.
“Steve Pitt has signed Lewis Walker (son of Des), who was in the goals for Woking in 24-25. 21st”
20) GATESHEAD – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “Things unravelled fast at Gateshead in 2024-25. As a failed takeover by o consortium led by ex-Everton striker Victor Anichebe unsettled the camp (according to captain Greg Olley), they missed out on the play-offs, hod a brief transfer ban and lost Olley, gaffer Carl Magnay and key staff over the summer.
“Alun Armstrong needs to lean on all of his North East know-how. 10th”
19) TAMWORTH – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “No-one defied the experts quite like Tamworth last term.
“Not only did their remarkable FA Cup run include wins over Huddersfield and Burton, before they almost stunned Tottenham, but the part-timers still had a chance of a play-off berth with three games to go.
“Losing Dan Creaney is a blow, but time and again, Lambs boss Andy Peaks has shown he con upset the odds. 19th”
18) EASTLEIGH – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “The Spitfires threatened to get in on 2024-05’s play-off action, but a push for the top seven didn’t fully materialise and they finished in the bottom half.
“Former Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has added experience between the sticks in Nick Townsend, arguably Newport County’s best player in League Two last season.
“Keep on eye out for lively attacker Aaron Blair, who has joined from Maidstone. 18th”
17) MORECAMBE – FourFourTwo said in their verdict: “A non-league return has felt o long time coming for the Shrimps, beset by ownership issues.
“The Panjab Warriors takeover has clearance from the EFL but hit big roadblocks in June, so even if is completed, Morecambe will be playing catch-up – although well-travelled forward Jack Stretton, still only 23, is through the door. 17th”
