Fans produce a list of owners who should ‘never be allowed to run a football club again’ after previous crisis with some going bust or close to.
@MatchDayFeverr tweeted: “A fresh list of owners who should never be allowed to run a football club again. Some of these are current owners, some are previous.
Dejphon Chansiri – Sheffield Wednesday
Jason Whittingham – Morecambe
Dai Yongge – Reading FC
Peter Swann/David Hilton – Scunthorpe united
Tommy Agombar – Hereford FC
Ken Anderson – Bolton Wanderers
Steve Dale – Bury FC”
The hope is that the Football Governance Bill and the Independent Football Regulator will aim to establish can prevent clubs or any other community football club from ever again facing the fate of having to start again after going under, then it is absolutely vital that we support it in fixing our beautiful game.
Earlier this year, the Football Governance Bill passed with a 415-98 vote, with the aim to protect English football by establishing an Independent Football Regulator (IFR) for men’s elite clubs.
The IFR will focus on ensuring clubs make sensible financial decisions to promote sustainability, with oversight of financial plans and risk mitigation to protect assets like stadiums.
To address structural issues like revenue distribution across the football pyramid to enhance overall stability.
To safeguard club traditions, requiring fan approval for changes to crests, colours, or names, and regulating stadium sales or relocations.
Key Powers of the IFR include the Owners’ and Directors’ Tests, fan engagement, preventing breakaway leagues, revenue distribution and requiring clubs to report on governance, equality, diversity, inclusion, and community contributions.
The Bill addresses fan concerns, prioritising their role in football, and aims to prevent mismanagement, as seen in crisis clubs, ensuring a fairer, more sustainable future for the game.
Some non league clubs that had to also start again…https://t.co/GdH8hyjJax

As mentioned, fans produce list of owners who should ‘never be allowed to run a football club again’…
@Promo_man: If ever there is definitive proof that a regulator is need in English football, then this thread surely is it…
@vickydrip: Please add Mel Morris – Derby County to that list.
@richardfallan: Forget football club. They shouldn’t be in charge of a pet, a plant, a fucking tamagotchi, anything. He should only be permitted to work in the shittest jobs available, for minimum wage.
@aaron_challoner: Oystons at Blackpool as well
@SSE_LTFC: John Gurney – Luton Town
@rogers01_tony: Alex Hamilton. Almost did for Wrexham.

@somecaIlmejesus: Dave Hilton shouldn’t be anywhere near this. Bit of a snowflake no doubt but Ilkeston and Matlock are in a way better place.
@NayV99: Hahahahaha. The fraudster than banned fans from the ground for saying anything bad about him? Yeah Matlock are in a great place. He gave them a £200k donation. Except now he has the club he says it isnt a donation and wants his money back with interest over time.
@somecaIlmejesus: We’ll see how it pans out. Spent a shitload on the playing squad but if he’s paying the bills it aint an issue. Don’t really care where he got the money from to be honest, fraud or not.
@mgell1s: You haven’t the faintest clue, Aaron.
@somecaIlmejesus: I don’t expect any Scunny fans to be with me on this. Left you in the shit after a massive crybaby tantrum but I don’t see him as this evil hatchet man who is out to launder money while burying clubs.
@mgell1s: Most Scunthorpe fans will confirm that he is all of those things. What you ‘see him as’ is entirely irrelevant.
