It’s that time again, the BBC announce which 25/26 FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie they will televise, and we’re looking forward to it.
The early rounds of the FA Cup qualifiers have been streamed on the BBC since 2017, which has not only put non league clubs on the map, but also earned them a welcome financial boost for being on the telly.
A game from every stage is be live-streamed across BBC Sport’s digital platforms, allowing audiences to watch the game live on PC, mobile or connected TV. Matches will also be available live and on-demand on BBC iPlayer.

FA STATEMENT:
Pickering Town v Runcorn Linnets has been chosen by BBC Sport as the live television pick for the second round qualifying of the Emirates FA Cup.
This tie is going to kick-off at 12.30pm BST on Saturday 13 September, and it will be available to watch on iPlayer, the Red Button and BBC Sport website.
Both teams have progressed through from the extra preliminary round of this season’s competition, with Pickering Town overcoming Penrith, Easington Colliery and Redcar Athletic, and Runcorn Linnets defeating Clitheroe, Whitchurch Alport and West Didsbury Chorlton.
Each club will also receive a fee of £2000 from the FA’s broadcast fund.
This follows on from the first live broadcast of this season in the first round proper, when as part of BBC Sport giving extra prominence to the early stages of the Emirates FA Cup, they showed the tie between Weymouth and Tadley Calleva.
As part of BBC Sport giving extra prominence to the Emirates FA Cup, live coverage of matches will be provided through to the last kick of the ball at Wembley Stadium in May during the 2024-25 season.
Steve Rudge, BBC Sport’s head of football, said: “We are delighted that audiences will be able to share in the passion of the FA Cup from the opening stage of the competition. To highlight the tournament from first kick to last will showcase the desire for success in the famous Cup throughout the football pyramid.”
David Newton, the FA’s head of competitions, said: “The Emirates FA Cup is the world’s most loved domestic cup competition.
“We’re delighted that the BBC is widening the competition’s reach by allowing fans the opportunity to follow the drama live, right from the very start through to the showpiece final at Wembley Stadium.”
The FA Cup Second Qualifying Round sees 48 new entries (sides from the National League North and National League South) join the 112 winners from the previous round, a total of 80 ties drawn out, the losing sides picking up £1,125 while the match winners receive £3,375.
