Jack Grealish aims a dig at Man City boss Pep Guardiola in a now deleted post and then makes a surprise pub visit in Sweden.
The 29 year old, on loan from Man City, is loving life at Everton, after three rounds, he is Premier League’s top assist provider with four assists.
He remains hopeful that if he keeps up his impressive performances, it will convince Thomas Tuchel to call him up, but for the September fixtures, he misses out.
So in the meantime, he went with a few friends on a seven-hour pub marathon in Sweden, seen in videos which were recored on Sunday, the day after the Toffees’ 3-2 win against Wolves.
He took to social media after the game, with the Birmingham-born attacker captioning a screenshot: “Feels so good to finally play three games in a row,” which fans have interpreted as a reminder to Guardiola of his rotation policy.

Speaking after Everton’s 2-0 win against Brighton, Grealish said to beIN Sports: “For me, I wanted to come here and the main thing was to enjoy football. Enjoy playing every game.
“I think maybe at times, in the last couple of years, I’ve, not fallen out of love with, but just didn’t enjoy football as much as I should. My family said it to me at times when I was at home.
“That’s down to no-one, it’s down to myself. But I absolutely love football and I want to have that feeling again, when you wake up on a matchday and you just can’t wait to get out there. That’s how I felt today and hopefully my performance showed that.”

Mattias Mete, who works at The Auld Dub, spoke on Grealish’s visit to the pub, per aftonbladet: “It was a bit shocking. He was here to visit.
“You saw him play last Saturday and then he suddenly appeared here out of nowhere.”
Did they stay long?
– Yes, they were here for quite a while. They were here until closing. So it was a couple of hours. They were here from 4 pm and stayed until about 10–11 pm. They watched the match between Liverpool and Arsenal.
Was he satisfied with the visit?
– Yes, he liked the pub! He was happy and they had a good time. We just buzzed around a bit and I took a picture. We didn’t want to disturb them too much either and we worked at the same time.
Mete who also was a footballer between 2003 and 2019, he played 40 matches in the Allsvenskan and over 80 matches in the Superettan.
He added that Grealish and his friends kept a low profile.
– They took it easy and enjoyed the evening. They ate their food and liked the atmosphere. So that was good.

Tuchel addressed questions about why the two players were not included: “There’s no doubt I am a big fan of Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Jack Grealish.
“Big players and big personalities, always in the mix. I know both are desperate but in this camp we decided for Reece James and Tino Livramento and in Jack’s position, Rashy [Marcus Rashford] and Ebs [Eberechi Eze]. The competition is up.”
Everton boss David Moyes on Grealish: “He is even better than I thought.
“He probably needs a bit of love and attention. He needs the games as well.
“Hopefully he starts building on it and he gets even better as the season goes on.
“He is making a big difference. Whether it is his assists, his presence, lots of things.
“So all credit to him. He is playing the minutes he may not have had in recent years.
“You know, he’s so good. What Jack gives us is something just on the edge, which, hopefully it’s on the edge of creativeness and maybe scoring goals.”
Asked about his upturn in form, Moyes replied: “It’s nothing to do with me, let me tell you – it’s all to do with Jack and his own mentality to be better.
“There’s a wee bit to prove, I’m sure – I think we all have. I think in life, you’ve always got something you have to strive to do.
“And I think Jack wants to show that he’s a good player. I think he’s showing it at the moment.”
Here’s how fans reacted as Jack Grealish ‘aims a dig’ at Pep Guardiola in a now deleted post and makes a surprise pub visit in Sweden…
@Tunaguyyy: Not at the fans! Come on guys. He’s number 18 in recognition of the club. He’s aiming it at one person. Agree or disagree he’s the right to do it. Best of luck Jack
@ruariwwfc: Fairs I don’t think Grealish is the biggest fan of Pep anymore
evertonvibe: Everton fan here in peace. Can you blame him? I feel he did disappoint at times, but the system he was made to play on given the player he is, and the season he had when use won the treble, I wouldn’t exactly say he’s been treated the greatest. Whereas at us he’s our king, the team is built around him and Ndiaye.
zahhoo._: we need him so bad
zach.young5: Can you blame him? I rate him and love to have him but he has so much more freedom now and rightfully so
harrykempx: Can’t fucking blame him
realcitehboy: Is he forgetting he’s still employed by us?
insidemybluecity: As a City fan can’t blame him he sat on that bench for so long, Happy to see him enjoy his time at Everton and showing what he can do 💙
rawan_jdetawy: Pep never really gave Jack the fair chance he deserved, and that was so unfair to such a talented player. But seeing Jack happy again, playing with freedom and joy, means everything to us as fans! Thanks Everton, for trusting him and giving him the opportunity he truly deserves 🫂💙💙 Jack we’re so proud of you and will always support you keep shining, this is your time 💙
dsy.910: Taking a dig at Pep sell him
jintaac: Ppl slagging him off for being happy that he actually gets played by the manager. Give your heads a wobble, good for Jack, 4 assists already but apparently he was the problem. Hopefully he keeps going!
ahsanabbasshah: Tell them @jackgrealish
jakeellis224: L grealish after we was all happy for him 😂😂😂 he wasn’t playing because he was always getting injured and not doing anything when he played
its_abdur21: He is cooking pep now
linda_izintsikelelo: Lol fair play Jack . Still don’t think you would’ve made a difference . You just found your level .
j0rdan2913: He has every right to be angry pep didn’t let him play how he plays best all he wants is pass pass pass jack is better at getting inside
