Lineups, team news, confirmed starting teams with Harry Kane on bench in 2025 Club World Cup

European heavyweights Bayern Munich and Benfica play their final games of the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup group stage against each other on Tuesday.

A point would come with guarantees for both sides – Bayern to win Group C, Benfica to go through to the round of 16 in the US.

The Portuguese side can finish top ahead of Bayern with victory, while defeat would give Boca Juniors a chance of qualifying at their expense if the Brazilian club simultaneously beat Auckland City, who have conceded six goals across their two opening defeats.

101GreatGoals.com has the line-ups and team news from Benfica vs Bayern Munich on Matchday 3 of the Club World Cup.

Benfica lineup vs Bayern Munich

Antonio Silva continues in central defence alongside Nicolas Otamendi for Benfica, with Angel Di Maria, who scored twice in their last outing, featuring in a potent attack also including Vangelis Pavlidis and Gianluca Prestianni.

Bruno Lage’s men were slow to get going on Matchday 2 against Auckland, only breaking the deadlock in first-half stoppage time but eventually winning 6-0.

Despite a mixed run of recent results – one win in their last five games across all competitions – Benfica have scored in 17 straight fixtures, netting twice or more in 13 of those.

Benfica starting XI: Trubin, Aursnes, Antonio Silva, Otamendi, Dahl, Barreiro, Renato Sanches, Di Maria, Prestianni, Schjelderup, Pavlidis

Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern are unbeaten in nine, with six wins, and have scored three or more in five of their last seven.
