Serie A pundits highlight ‘most worrying Juventus thing in 2-0 loss vs. Como

Luca Marchegiani argues that the ‘most worrying thing’ about Juventus’ 2-0 loss in Como is that the Bianconeri didn’t have a shot on target until minute 89, while Beppe Bergomi feels the Old Lady does not have a clear identity.

Juventus suffered their first defeat in 2025-26 on Sunday, losing 2-0 away at Como, but the Bianconeri have not won a game since September 13, when they beat Inter 4-3 at the Allianz Stadium.

Coach Igor Tudor is under increasing pressure as several sources claim that his future at the club will be assessed in the next couple of games.

On Wednesday, Juventus visit Real Madrid in the Champions League, and four days later, they’ll travel to Rome for another away game against Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio.

“Right now, Juventus are not recognisable. Look at Milan, you know how they play. Against Fiorentina, Saelemaekers replaced Pulisic to have the same style,” Sky Sport pundit Beppe Bergomi said.

“You recognise Milan, the same as Inter and Napoli. But not Juventus. I don’t know the reasons. If you talk to Tudor, he’d say: ‘I’ve always played with a 3-4-2-1 system.’ But I still think that Yildiz, your best player, is too marginalised on the left.”

Ex-Lazio goalkeeper Marchegiani added: “Is this the best way to develop the players at your disposal? Perhaps no. I think it’s acceptable to lose at Como because they play well, in an aggressive way; you don’t have much space to play.

“The problem is that, against Como, a team like Juventus cannot afford not to have a shot on target until minute 89. That’s the most worrying thing,” continued the former goalkeeper.

“When they have to dominate proceedings and opponents are well-organised, they lack solutions. It all depends on Yildiz, Conceiçao. But when is Conceiçao dangerous? When he dribbles past the opponent and shoots on target. When he has to dribble and cross, he’s not that efficient.”

Juventus not focused enough, according to Montolivo

Lastly, ex-Milan and Fiorentina star Riccardo Montolivo argued that Juventus have been lacking focus to get consistent results this term.

“Juventus were a bit passive too. They didn’t react,” he noted.

“They were distracted because when you concede after four minutes, it means that the focus is not there. Like in Villarreal when they conceded in the stoppages. Today, he [Tudor] changed the system but conceded right away. Como were twice as fast, and it wasn’t about fatigue, it was more about mental weight.”
