Hallam’s tweets go viral as they hit back at a chants from a group of Bridlington’s youth supporters on Saturday afternoon.
The Northern Premier League – East Division ended in a 2-0 win for Bridlington, who end the day sitting 6th with 25 points from 15 games played, while Hallam are down in 17th with 16 point from 16 games played.
But the talking point was on Hallam’s Twitter admin taking a swipe at a song mocking Sheffield and Hallam. Quite the ‘Accidental Partridge’ moment here.
Hallam FC wrote: “19’ – The Bridlington youth serenade the Hallam support that Sheffield isn’t the best place to live.
“However, it is worth pointing out that parts of Bridlington, specifically Bridlington South, are ranked among the 10% most deprived wards in England.
“Anyway, 0-0”
They later posted another tweet: “64’ – The home support reiterate their stance that Hallam is a 💩🕳️
“The current average house price in S10 is approximately £369,459 so I’d beg to differ.
“Anyway… still 2-0.”

The tweet tweets combined have gone on to get over 400,000 views as well as 3,100 likes, and hundreds of users commenting on it. Fair to say Hallam couldn’t quite have seen this reaction coming, flooded with notifications.
