Deeply concerned Wolves fans demand answers in open letter issued to owners Fosun

Groups of deeply concerned Wolves fans demand answers in an open letter which has this week been issued to owners Fosun.

Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters call for transparency and urgent change amid widespread discontent with the club’s direction, currently sitting bottom of the Premier League and are winless after 10 games played.

Fans feel Wolves has lost its purpose, pride, and competitive drive under current leadership, while also feeling they are being priced out and feel disrespected, eroding the club-fan relationship.

The letter highlights a cycle of poor decisions, unfulfilled promises, and unexplained departures of key staff.

Fans demand direct engagement from Fosun chairman Guo Guangchang and question Jeff Shi’s suitability to lead the club.

Without swift, meaningful action and open communication, the fanbase warns of growing division at a critical time.

The letter reflects nostalgia for Fosun’s early successes while condemning recent decline, urging leadership to restore trust and unity.

Open Letter to Wolves & Fosun

“As long-time supporters of this fantastic football club, we are writing to express our serious concerns about the overall direction and management of Wolverhampton Wanderers, particularly amid the ongoing search for another head coach.

“Whilst we appreciate the challenges involved in recruitment and the need for stability, we urge you and the board to recognise the strong and widespread opposition to the decisions currently being made across all areas of the club.

“Many supporters feel that Wolves has lost its ambition, identity, and clear sense of purpose both on and off the pitch.

“You have already alienated a significant number of loyal supporters who have been priced out, and appear to show little care or respect for the fanbase.

“Without swift and meaningful change, you risk further dividing supporters at a time when unity and belief are essential.

“Under Fosun’s early stewardship, the club made great strides in its footballing operations, infrastructure, and community connection – progress that made Wolves a model of pride and ambition.

“Sadly, we are now witnessing decisions that continue to undermine that vital relationship and diminish the standards that once defined the club.

“As supporters, it feels like Groundhog Day once again. What has happened to us? How has the club declined so much under your stewardship, Jeff? How can the hierarchy repeatedly make the same mistakes and fail to deliver on promises? Why have so many key figures behind the scenes departed without clear explanations? We believe the fans deserve transparency and accountability from the club’s leadership through open, honest communication rather than scripted interviews.

“We call for Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun to engage directly with supporters and provide clarity about the club’s long-term vision and leadership structure.

“Many no longer feel confident that Jeff Shi is the right person to take this football club forward.

“The Wolves fanbase cares deeply about the club’s success. Our loyalty remains for now, but we urge you to listen to and respect the voices of supporters during this crucial period.”

Earlier this week, Wolves parted company with head coach Vitor Pereira. The bookies favourites then emerged, then negotiations were had between Wolves and Gary O’Neil, only for their former boss to withdraw himself from the process, despite advancing in talks.

The club are in dialogue with a number of candidates, reports saying that includes former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag (recently sacked by Bayer Leverkusen after three games) and at least one manager linked to agent Jorge Mendes.

Other names in the frame included Rob Edwards of Middlesbrough, also a former Wolves coach who has distanced himself, citing focus on his current role and likely high compensation demands from Boro.

Wolves fans make feelings known after Fulham defeat keeps them winless and bottom of the Prem

This is what Twitter users are saying as deeply concerned Wolves fans demand answers in an open letter issued to owners Fosun…

@HammersUnited2: We send our support and solidarity to our good friends at Wolves. Another great club with great supporters and great history being poorly led. #WolvesLedByDonkeys @Wolves1877T

@WV1Rep: Well done. Let’s keep up the pressure on them and get our club back. 👏🏻 #WWFC #Wolves

@WycombeWolf: Until we begin protesting and boycotting games these words will fall of deaf ears I’m afraid Ryan.

@Molineuxworld: Ryan fair play brother, but these owners are not for being challenged by team managers let alone supporters. Gary Oneil withdrew his interest and most probably due to fanbase reaction. It wasn’t the owners who’d assessed the outpouring of Supporters feelings / frustration.

@spencer238: Great letter, Its worrying times. Also Molineux has been left to rot just like the whole club. But Fosun simply don’t care anymore.Wolves could be massive, if it was with the right owners.History don’t lie, we was one of the best and biggest clubs in England, we could be again!

@WolfSomerset: Well said Ryan on a superbly written letter you speak for all of us Fan’s hopefully they will find time to read this & respond accordingly. The Fan’s deserve an answer on where this Famous Club is heading that’s the least they could do. But we all know how tight lipped they are.

@kevyng3: I take my hat off to you for getting the mainstream and national media to start publicly asking the difficult questions which local journos have called to ask. Well done Ryan. All of a sudden Shi and Fosun are under scrutiny

@letsdigit: Has to be followed by a mass protest outside the ground, nothing that hampers the players or new manager #wwfc

@cmonmebabbies: Here’s the real #wwfc issues… @JacobsBen @alex_crook, Jeff Shi is Fosun’s accountant and it is entirely his stewardship that has depleted our squad, created instability over progression and allowed the clubs’ infrastructure to rot.. #ShiOut

@FarenheitDP9: Sadly Fosun will never get rid of Jeff Shi as he is making sure this club does the one thing they employ him to do… Make Fosun money!!! Sadly I think this letter while totally right and well penned will fall on deaf ears and only have Jeff Spouting garbage again #wwfc 🐺🧡🖤

@stujones10: I am one person but I stand with all these groups and fans who are opposing what’s happening at our great club, there fan channels can be therapy at times so thank you

@Streettough: Totally agree with the sentiments, but we all know this goes straight into the shredder

@ab7wwfc: This is class like, but we all know they won’t give a shit

@ThePavFM: Jeff Shi is an employee of this football club he has no stake. Yesterday was another example of why he’s not capable of running Wolves. The players. The fans. Didn’t want GON back. Jeff did. We’re stuck in an endless cycle of failure . He is the common denominator. He has to go

@molineuxmusings: Considering the widespread contempt for O’Neil’s impending appointment, it’s a bit soft for me, but the point stands: Jeff Shi must go.
