Kevin Doyle goes viral after taking a swipe at Dominik Szoboszlai during Troy Parrott’s winner for Ireland against Hungary.
The former Ireland striker and RTE pundit was caught on an off-air clip wildly celebrating Troy Parrott scoring in the 96th minute.
Doyle gestured towards the TV showing the game in the studio and shouts “Suck on that you Liverpool c***” at Hungarian captain before then saying sorry to fellow pundit Didi Hamann.

The only way Ireland’s World Cup dream would continue going into this international break was if they could beat Portugal at home and Hungary away… last Thursday, Troy Parrott scored twice in Dublin to beat one of Europe’s best teams.
On Sunday afternoon, Hungary took an early lead through Daniel Lukacs, then regained it via Barnabas Varga after Parrott’s penalty leveller, but Parrott’s brace after the 80th minute sealed a spectacular comeback.
Ireland now go into Thursday’s playoff draw, where they could face teams such as Wales, Slovakia, Scotland, Czechia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo.
RTE Sport’s Twitter account posted an edited version of Doyle j’s celebrations around the studio, but an unedited version had done the rounds online, posted and since deleted by user @Liam_D79.

Troy Parrott told RTE post-match: “Yeah I’m really really emotional right now… sorry.
“They’re tears of joy. What a night. What a night.
“I’d rather have that pressure on me and whatever happens will happen, that to put it on somebody else and leave it out of my hands.
“I can’t believe it. I really can’t believe it. This is why we love football because things like this can happen.
“Look Tony, I love where I’m from. So this means the world to me. My family is here… this is the first time I’ve cried in years as well. It’s unbelievable.
“Everyone’s crying. I said against Portugal that this is what dreams are made of but tonight, I don’t think I’ll ever have a better night in my whole life.
“It really is a fairytale. You can’t even dream about something like that. Honestly, I have no words to describe the emotions right now.”
Szoboszlai spoke in a brief interview to M4 Sport, responding “Very much” when asked how much his heart aches after the loss.
Then when asked whether football can be that unfair sometimes, he added: “It looks like it, yes.”
Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson speaking on RTE Sport:
“It was a strange game.
“We seemed to be nervous at the beginning, struggling with movements, defending too late and not aggressive enough.
“We put in everything and threw in three strikers in the end.
“The guys deserved what happened and congratulations to the Irish nation for having the guys.
“He should enjoy this moment.
“Sadly for him he got injured for a long spell early in the season or he would have been one of the top scorers, if not the top scorer, in Europe.
“He’s just shown his quality.
“This moment shouldn’t be about finding heroes; it should be this team, the spirit, unity and hard work this team showed.”
