In what promises to be a real Championship derby showdown on Friday night, Swansea will meet local rivals Wrexham for the first time since way back in 2006.
Although some in the Swans’ camp might have opened up proceedings back in August dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine play-off charge, Friday’s hosts are looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap.
While Wrexham might have only made their famous Championship debut this season, Phil Parkinson’s men have failed to find their feet among England’s second-tier and they have also shown some extended issues on the road.
With all eyes falling on South Wales this weekend, we have taken a glance at some of the most attractive Swansea vs Wrexham Bet Builder Tips.
A cagey derby showdown
While all eyes might fall on Wales this weekend, don’t be surprised to see what could be a cagey derby showdown on Friday night
Although Swansea might have got December underway with consecutive Championship victories at home against Oxford and Portsmouth, Vitor Matos’ men are once again looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap.
Marking their return from November’s international break with a 3-0 drumming against Bristol City, Swansea have lost six of their previous eight Championship appearances.
Likewise, although Wrexham might have marked their respective return from November’s fortnight interval with a close-fought 1-0 win at home against Charlton, Friday’s guests have shown their own struggles in the final third.
In fact, last seen on their travels falling to a 2-0 loss against Hull, the Dragons have drawn a blank in three of their previous four matchups away from the Racecourse Ground.

Pressure mounts on Parkinson
While Wrexham might have only made their iconic Championship debut this season, it is no secret that Parkinson’s side opened up the 2025/26 campaign with their sights set on mounting a genuine play-off charge.
However, despite snatching a last-gasp point at home against Watford last time out, Friday’s guests have continued to show some real inconsistencies.
Including that 2-0 loss away at the KCOM earlier in the month, Wrexham have mustered just a single win from any of their previous six Championship appearances.
Scrapping it out in the bottom-half of the standings and with it suggested that the former Bolton boss could find some mounting pressure on his shoulders, Wrexham have also gained a reputation for their struggles on the road.
Alongside a 1-0 loss against Stoke on October 18th, Parkinson’s side have failed to win any of their last seven straight showdowns away from the Racecourse Ground.

Swansea’s relegation scrap
Although some in Swansea’s camp might have got proceedings underway back in August dreaming of the chance to mount their own play-off charge, Matos’ men have rightfully come under serious scrutiny.
Putting in another downbeat display away at Stoke last weekend as they watched their brief December flurry come to an abrupt end, Friday’s hosts now hold just a four-point buffer over the drop zone.
With a huge amount of pressure on their shoulders this weekend, Swansea have also failed to find any real fluidity in the final third.
Despite registering consecutive clean sheets in front of their own supporters for the first time this season, Matos’ side have failed to record more than a single strike in nine of their previous 10 Championship outings.
Although Matos might have only arrived in Wales last month, the former Maritimo boss will be more than aware that he has a major job on his hands.
