Angry Tottenham fan confronts owner Vivienne Lewis, telling her to sack Thomas Frank and ‘sell up’

An angry Tottenham fan confronts owner Vivienne Lewis, telling her to sack Thomas Frank and ‘sell up’ in a video gone viral.

Following Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to West Ham at the weekend, the fan Trevor Wright (@trevortheyid) confronted Vivienne Lewis, voicing his frustration over the team’s poor form and mid-table position under manager Thomas Frank.

Trevor Wright tweeted: “I spoke to Viv Lewis – I spend £24k a year and told her what I thought. She just walked away and did not have the guts to face up to me!

“I said, I pay £24k a year to watch this dross, when is she going sack Frank and sell up. What annoyed me is she just walked away and didn’t face up, just say something. Before the game I said to her we need to hear from the Lewis family directly!”

Tottenham supporters protested against club chiefs for the West Ham fixture, “Time for Change” banners were held up.

“Tottenham Hotspur, it’s happened again,” sang the West Ham fans, while Spurs fans were heard chanting “You’re getting sacked in the morning”. See more on that HERE.

Thomas Frank was backed by the board to be in charge for the Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, despite facing intense scrutiny and internal discussions about his future.

Meanwhile, Spurs fans were asked whether Thomas Frank should in charge for the fixture. The video can be seen further down in this article…

Fan #1: “He’s genuinely waiting on the corner flag image to come up. Yeah, I can’t understand that. Evidence suggests that he’s just here because there’s nothing else. And how does he go out then and rouse a team for a game like tonight without not knowing his job is safe? I just don’t understand that. I can’t. It seems to be our club all over really.”

Fan #2: “I think he deserves another chance.”

Interviewer: “Would you give him to the end of the season?”

Fan #2: “Yeah, I think so. Just get a few injuries back now, hopefully push up the league.”

Fan #3: “You got to back your manager because if we keep switching and keep changing, it’ll lead to more pain in the long run. I understand we went with the same thing with Ange, right? It was very difficult to go through, but if we have to back somebody at some point.”

Interviewer: “Were you surprised to see Thomas Frank still here?”

Fan #4: “Yes and no. I understand because of this game straight away. I understand what the board are obviously thinking. And it’s also because certain managers that they might want back are tied up, let’s say, as in one Argentinian with the USA.”

Fan #5: “We can’t just keep changing every so often because otherwise Spurs will be either staying as they are or as it’s looking, we’re going further down.”

Fan #1: “He has to go. He has to. As I say, he should have gone Saturday. I think he has to go anyway. Regardless of today’s result, I think they have to look into something else.”

Fans make feelings known with Thomas Frank and Tottenham booed after defeat to West Ham

Thomas Frank said in his pre-Dortmund press conference: “I’ve just been feeling the trust along the way. I’ve said that every press meeting, that there’s backing and support.

“I had lunch with Nick [Beucher] and Vinai [Venkatesham, CEO] and Johan [Lange, sporting director] today, so all good.

“I know it’s part of the media circus and the only focus I have is to do everything I can for us to win against Dortmund.

“I’ve said many times and I’ll say it again, as long as we win football matches and make sure we win enough of them, then everyone will support us.

“It’s not about me, it’s about supporting the team, supporting the players.”

Asked about the scrutiny on his position: “I think you can say, in this game, you always need to show resilience.

“I listened to something the other day where the three biggest things in showing resilience is one, you have good values. I see myself as a guy that has pretty good values.

“Two, you know reality – and reality is that one in five normally don’t like you, no matter what you do. One in five love you, no matter what you do. Then there’s the three in five that, if you behave well, are respectful, show integrity, do your best, normally they are swayed.

“So, no matter what you do, the reality is someone will not like you.

“The last bit, have perspective in life, which I have in abundance. I keep doing what I do, what I believe in.

“If your back is against the wall, you fight and that’s what I do. I’m energetic, I fight.

“It’s about keeping the noise out, staying calm, carrying on. Look at the performances, look if the players are still running, running hard.

“In the last three games where we are down at half-time, how they come out and respond is a massive thing. They responded fantastic and we should’ve got more out of it.

“Sometimes, it’s just football. That happens when you are in that spell.

“Are you still working hard? Are you still trying hard? Are you still believing? I see signs of that very clearly in every game.

“Then, of course, even the best coach in the world – Pep Guardiola – says I’m nothing without my players. I’m nothing without the best players available – and I think it’s fair to say, they haven’t been available enough at the same time.

“That makes it a little bit more tricky, but no problem. I’m happy to take the blame, as long as everyone supports the players.”

Here’s how Twitter users reacted after an angry Tottenham fan confronts owner Vivienne Lewis, telling her to sack Thomas Frank and ‘sell up’…

@TalkTHFC__: Fair play to you mate. Cowardly from Viv Lewis.

@SpursSongSheet: Well done Trevor 👏🏻

@simoncgray: It looks like she was initially open to engagement. She stopped, acknowledged, walked back and I guess she then thought she was going to get a barrage of abuse. The do need to listen up and take the heat a bit, perhaps then they’ll realise what they have let themselves in for by stepping in to Levy’s shoes.

@NicJ_27: Well done Trevor! That “dont walk away” was perfect. Sums up our board atm

@Rachael36669731: Our fans need to start doing this more make the uncomfortable at our stadium we have to drive them. Out they don’t care bout us so why should we care bout them!!!

@NI7sto1980: Fair play Trevor good work she definitely heard what you had to say …..plenty of anger at that stadium and it flowing into the executive suits and hospitality areas in only going to increase. Truth is there is no Football People on the board they don’t know what to do ?

@LRC_1978: Well done Trevor, more fans need to do the same, for too long the Enic family have had a free ride.

@Dancurtis87: This sums up Viv Lewis, Vinai and the Lewis family. The anger from our support is just “the great unwashed”. Our fans don’t know anything compared to them. We’ve known this manager is the wrong fit for months. If they’d listened earlier we might just still be in the cup.

@Jackgrey99: Least someone’s got the bollocks to. What a coward for walking away. The lot of them are poison and speaks volumes the way this clubs ran.

@Punkdude1981: Wish more of our supporters had the bollocks to do this they need to be made to feel the wrath and sacrifice we make week in week out for the club we love.
