In the 15th over of Mahe Megalo Strikers’ innings, Kamaleeshwaran A was sent back to the pavilion for 20 runs off 27 balls laced with one maximum in a spectacular fashion. The left-arm spin bowler Ramesh Kumar, who was also part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, sent a sharp delivery that didn’t spin much, and Kamaleeshwaran played a powerful shot in the air.

Sabhay Chadha timed out after relay catch drama in PPL 2025
In the very next delivery, the left-handed batter Sabhay Chadha was timed out after Villianur Mohit Kings captain Damodaran Rohit appealed for the same, and the match official had to go through the rules in the thrilling Pondicherry Premier League 2025 Final on Sunday.
All the drama started with a relay catch of Kamaleeshwaran. The Mahe Megalo Strikers team was furious after a close relay catch was given out. They got into an argument with the umpire, demanding clarity over the situation.

But while all the arguments happened with the match official, the clock kept ticking, and 90 seconds passed, and the new batter, Sabhay Chadha, still hadn’t taken guard. That’s when the Villianur Mohit Kings team made the most of the opportunity by appealing for a time-out because Chadha was late to take charge, and the umpire gave it out straightaway.
