The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to begin on 9 September in the UAE, and all participating nations have announced their squad. From bold omissions to surprising inclusions, this year’s line-ups have already sparked plenty of discussion among fans.

Hosted across two venues – Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the tournament will follow the T20I format and provide thrilling encounters between some of the best cricketing nations in Asia.

The event, which will be held in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, will feature exciting matches between some of Asia’s top cricketing teams and will be played in the T20I format.

Five of the eight nations competing in the 2019 Asia Cup—India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Oman, and Hong Kong —are full members of the ACC. The United Arab Emirates (UAE), who qualified after winning the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup, will join them.

It is anticipated that the group stage of the 2025 Asia Cup will take place during the first two weeks of September, followed by the Super Four matches. They will play competitive matches and have ample time to prepare for the 2026 T20 World Cup thanks to this arrangement.

India Squad for Asia Cup 2025

India will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, with Shubman Gill serving as vice-captain. Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah returns after injury, while big names like Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal were left out.

Pakistan made a bold call by excluding former captains Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. The side will be captained by Salman Ali Agha and features Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Shadab Khan.

Sri Lanka Squad for Asia Cup 2025

Sri Lanka named Charith Asalanka as captain, while spin wizard Wanindu Hasaranga made the cut despite injury concerns. Veteran Angelo Mathews was dropped as selectors looked to balance experience with youth.

UAE Squad for Asia Cup 2025

Hosts UAE will be led by Muhammad Waseem. The squad mixes experienced players with fresh talent as they prepare to face India in their opening match.

Afghanistan Squad for Asia Cup 2025

Afghanistan have gone with spin strength under captain Rashid Khan, with big names like Mujeeb and Nabi also included.

Bangladesh Asia cup 2025 squad

Liton Das will lead Bangladesh with Shakib Al Hasan still part of the setup. They will rely on both experience and young blood.

Hong Kong will be led by Yasim Murtaza, with experienced campaigners like Babar Hayat and Anshuman Rath in the mix.

Oman Squad for Asia Cup 2025

Oman’s campaign will lead by captain Jatinder Singh. Their squad includes a blend of seasoned all-rounders and upcoming talent.
