The year 2026 marks not only a new database for Bangladesh but also a chance to draw from the past and aim for the future more successfully. Careful planning and fresh motivation will let Bangladesh get ready for the challenging and thrilling 2026 season.

Aft er a lively start to the year with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), international cricket will pretty much come next for Bangladesh almost straightaway.

In all, Bangladesh will have to play 10 Test matches, 23 ODIs, and 12 T20Is during 2026, and on top of that, four matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

That being said, it is time to examine the cricket calendar for Bangladesh for the year 2026-27 in this article.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (February–March)

The new year will start with the T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place in India and Sri Lanka together. Bangladesh has been assigned to Group C and will have four group-stage matches. Their tournament will kick off on February 7 against the West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

After that, Bangladesh’s next two matches will be against Italy on February 9 and England on February 14, both at the same venue.

Bangladesh’s last group encounter will be against Nepal on February 17 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Pakistan Tour of Bangladesh (March–April)

The World Cup concluded, Bangladesh will betake home and invite Pakistan for a full bilateral series. There will be two Test matches, three ODIs, and three T20Is in this tour. The ODI series will kick off on the 9th of March, and the three matches will be held from the 12th to the 16th of March

Bangladesh Tour of New Zealand (April-May)

Bangladesh will receive New Zealand in April immediately after the Pakistan series. The tour will comprise of six matches, three ODIs and three T20Is. The start of the ODI series will be on April 17. The T20I series will commence on April 27 and will end on May 2.

Bangladesh Tour of Australia (June)

In June, the Bangladesh team will facilitate a limited-overs series against Australia. The tour will include three ODIs and three T20Is.

The white-ball tour of Bangladesh will be kicked off by Australia on June 5 with three ODIs. The T20I series will take place from June 15 to June 20.

Moreover, Australia’s aggressive style of play would be a tough challenge, and these games would serve the purpose of being a valuable practice run before Bangladesh’s overseas tours scheduled later in the year.

Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh (July)

July will witness the Bangladesh national cricket team visiting Zimbabwe for a series that will feature all formats. The tour will entail two Test matches and five One Day Internationals (exact dates and venues are yet to be announced).

Ireland Tour of Bangladesh (August)

After visiting Zimbabwe, Bangladesh will travel to Ireland in August before heading to Australia. The tour will be limited to three ODIs and three T20Is (dates and venues to be decided later).

Australia Tour of Bangladesh (August)

One of the hardest challenges of the year for the Bangladesh team will be the Australian Test tour in August. This will be the first Test series of the Bangladesh team in Australia after a gap of 24 years. Though the dates for this tour have not been published yet, it is expected that the venues will be Darwin and Mackay.

India Tour of Bangladesh (September)

Bangladesh after returning from Australia will welcome the Indian team in September for a three-match ODI series. The ODI series will be conducted on September 1, 3, and 6, followed by T20Is on September 9, 12, and 13.

West Indies Tour of Bangladesh (October–November)

The West Indies will visit Bangladesh in October and November for a two Test match series. This will provide Bangladesh another chance to solidify their Test record at home and to play well in conditions they are used to.

The players will participate in a three-day warm-up match from October 22 to 24. The first Test will be held during October 28 to November 1, while the second Test will be from November 5 to 9.

Bangladesh Tour of South Africa (November–December)

The year will end with a difficult trip to South Africa. The Bangladesh team will play two Tests and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) during the tour (the exact dates and the venues are yet to be announced).
