Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Swastik Chikara has been in controversy ahead of IPL 2026, with leaked chat screenshots circulating on social media. The issue has triggered widespread debate among fans, even though there has been no official complaint or investigation reported so far.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction, the Bengaluru-based team released Chikara from their squad. Chikara entered the auction, hoping for another opportunity, but did not attract any bids from the franchises. Auction results often depend on team balance, budgets, and strategy rather than just a player’s talent.

Radhika Sharma said that she did not recognize either cricketer at the time, as she does not follow the sport. After the meeting, she claimed Chikara found her on social media and began sending messages. She said she removed him after he started flirting.
“After a day or two, he started flirting, so I removed him,” the user wrote in her post. She further alleged that despite being removed, Chikara continued to “pressurize” her to meet him at a specific cafe or restaurant. The user shared these details to “let everybody know” about the player’s behavior, expressing frustration over the lack of respect for her boundaries.
Who Is Swastik Chikara, And What Is His Connection With Virat Kohli?
Swastik Chikara, a batter from Uttar Pradesh, was part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) during their IPL 2025 title-winning season. Although the team won their first IPL trophy, Chikara did not play any matches and spent the season on the sidelines.
Even without game time, he stayed in the public eye because he was often seen with senior players, especially Virat Kohli. Fans regularly shared videos and photos of him during practice sessions and team moments, with some jokingly calling him Kohli’s biggest supporter.
After the IPL 2025 final, Chikara faced online criticism when he appeared near Kohli during an emotional moment following the win. Some fans felt his presence was unnecessary, which led to negative reactions on social media. However, Chikara did not respond publicly to the criticism.

Dayal began his domestic career with Uttar Pradesh in 2018. He has played 27 first-class matches and taken 84 wickets. In the T20 format, he has featured in 71 matches and picked up 66 wickets.
Dayal started his IPL journey with the Gujarat Titans in 2022 before moving to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB bought him for 5 crore at the 2024 auction and retained him for the following season. He was part of the title-winning RCB squad under captain Rajat Patidar.
