Four Native Americans Kidnapped by Ice, Held in Former Concentration Camp – MishTalk

Four Oglala Lakota tribe members (aka Oglala Sioux) were kidnapped by Ice. One released.

US Department of Homeland Racism

4 Oglala Lakota men kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis have finally been located. One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during the Dakota Wars.

ICT reports Four Oglala Detainees Located.

The four Oglala Lakota men detained by ICE in South Minneapolis have been partially identified, according to a Tuesday night statement from Oglala Sioux Tribe President Frank Star Comes Out.

Star Comes Out said as of Jan. 13, the individuals last names have not been released, only first names. Tribal leaders are demanding full, comprehensive information from the Department of Homeland Security.

Additionally, the tribe is demanding the immediate release of all enrolled tribal citizens held by immigration, written assurances that ICE will stop detaining Native Americans, and immediate government-to-government consultation.

At least one of the men has been released, but tribal leaders said the remaining three are being held at Fort Snelling, a site historically used as a concentration camp for Native people during the Dakota removal period.

“The irony is not lost on us,” Star Comes Out said in a statement. “Lakota citizens who are reported to be held at Fort Snelling — a site forever tied to the Dakota 38+2 — underscores why treaty obligations and federal accountability matter today, not just in history.”

Star Comes Out said when the tribe requested more information, leaders were told the tribe would need to enter into an immigration agreement with ICE and the Department of Homeland Security.

“The tribe does not intend to enter into an immigration agreement with ICE or Homeland Security,” Star Comes Out said in a letter to the U.S. Government shared with ICT. “We will not enter an agreement that would authorize, or make it easier for, ICE or Homeland Security to come onto our tribal homeland to arrest or detain our tribal members.”

Star Comes Out said the detention of the four tribal citizens is a direct violation of federal law, various treaties and the constitutional protections owed to citizens by the United States.

Citizens of tribal nations became United States citizens in 1924 through the Indian Citizenship Act.

Immigration Agreement with ICE

The Administration demands an Immigration agreement with Native Americans.

Seriously, what the flying F?

Are You Racist MAGA Morons Going to Support This Too?

Of course you will. That’s what makes you a pack of racist MAGA morons.

However, I struggle with where you intend to deport these native Americans too.

Oh wait, I understand. You want to deport them back to their tribal lands, don’t you?

Stick to Economics

Many readers tell me to stick to economics.

No, I refuse. More accurately, what’s more economic than people’s lives?

Most racists and racist enablers don’t like it when someone points out their racism.

However, some hard core racists and white supremists embrace the racism. They want this fight.

Three Types of People Support These Actions

  • Bigots and racists
  • MAGA cultists
  • People brainwashed by bigots and racists, and MAGA Cultists

The first two are not mutually exclusive.

That’s the uncomfortable truth. People don’t want me writing about these things mostly because they are in one or more of those camps.

Allegedly, my comparison to Gestapo tactics is over the top. Well, it’s not because it all starts somewhere.

When Congress failed to push back on blowing up boats of the made up name “narco-terrorists” we then killed people clinging to wreckage as if it was a threat.

That was a test. And the administration got away with it. So it was time to start a series of tests in the US.

When the administration got away with smashing heads into the ground, the next step was homicide.

The next step now appears to be deporting Native Americans back to the reservation.

But hey, that’s OK because it’s not quite as extreme as what happened in Germany. At least were not gassing them yet.

Gestapo Tactics

Gestapo tactics refer to oppressive, often brutal methods used by a secret police force to control populations, involving intimidation, surveillance, arbitrary arrest, psychological torture, forced confessions, and making people “disappear” to crush dissent and maintain totalitarian power. Key tactics include using fear, terrorizing citizens through informers, creating a climate of suspicion, and bypassing legal processes to imprison or eliminate opponents without trial.

Essentially, Gestapo tactics involve using fear, secrecy, and violence to eliminate political opposition and maintain absolute control, characteristic of authoritarian states.

Those arrested by the Gestapo were often held without judicial process. The power of the Gestapo was used to focus upon political opponents and ideological dissenters.

It takes one hell of a lot of confirmation bias to not see the path we are on.

But if you are blinded by an overwhelming desire to deport them all, you would find a way to ignore literally everything.

Door-to-door is unconstitutional, but the end justifies the means. If any die in the process, it was their fault.

After all, it’s now a case of “one of ours, all of yours”. Similar expressions were used to in Nazi Germany as “collective punishment” .

Now Do Ashley Babbit

Babbitt was smashing windows, trying to break into rooms where Senators were in hiding. Good was trying to flee someone breaking into her car. She was then shot 3 times by someone calling her a “fucking bitch”

What about Ashley Babbitt may have been the stupidest whataboutism in history.

More Whataboutism!?

I fully expect a pack of racists, economic illiterates, and MAGA morons to respond with a bunch of idiotic whataboutisms.

But as long as we are delving into whataboutism, I have some legitimate related whataboutism questions.

Eight Genuinely Related Whataboutism Questions

  1. What about the fact that native Americans are US citizens?
  2. What about Fourth Amendment to the Constitution which protects people from unreasonable government intrusion?
  3. What about Fourth Amendment to the Constitution which requires probable cause for warrants?
  4. What about the fact that ICE is in flagrant violation of the fourth amendment?
  5. What about ICE protocol which does not permit shooting to stop a vehicle?
  6. What about ICE rush to judgement and suppression of evidence?
  7. What about Gestapo tactics?
  8. What about Nazi slogans?

Ashley Babbit, repeatedly brought up, is unrelated whataboutism. The irony is people cannot see the setup is exactly opposite to the murder of Good.

Other whatabouisms include “What about Somalia Medicaid Fraud?”

That is also totally unrelated whataboutism. Nonetheless I received several requests “Mish why haven’t you written about that?”

How does it relate?

But the irony is that I have written about it. Please consider Medicare and Medicaid Fraud are Brazen and Ubiquitous, But Who Cares?

Theft from the cookie jar is refilled again and again.

Cato reports “It Was Like Someone Was Stealing Money from the Cookie Jar and They Kept Refilling It”

The “fraud scandal that rattled Minnesota,” reports the New York Times, “was staggering in its scale and brazenness.” Dozens of Minnesotans are facing felony charges for defrauding multiple government programs, including Medicaid.

Here’s a very related thus pertinent whataboutism related to Medicaid fraud in Minnesota.

What about Trump’s moronic and racist response to that fraud?

Mr. Trump has called Somalis “garbage,” and he said his administration was considering denaturalizing some, because, he says, “they hate our country.”

That’s a blanket racist and/or national assessment isn’t it? Talk of “garbage” sounds like Hitler.

But let’s ignore that.

Q: Why?
A: For the same reason people are willing to ignore 8 related and relevant whataboutisms note above.

Q: Why is that?
A: Because when your goal is to deport them all, nothing else matters, especially the Constitution.

That is the uncomfortable truth. And that is why people don’t want me exposing them.

The reaction: Stop writing about this. You are exposing my racism and I don’t like it.

Unrelated But Important Whataboutisms

  • What about Trump’s promising no more wars and bombing 8 countries?
  • What about Trump threatening to take Greenland by force?
  • What about nation building in Venezuela?
  • What about Trump’s threats to nation build Iran.
  • Trump actually said MIGA Make Iran Great Again. Help is on the way said Trump after campaigning against intervention. What about that?
  • What about Epstein?

When your goal is to deport them all, you don’t care about any of those. So you don’t want me talking about any of those either.

And please note all of the above, except Epstein, have serious economic impact.

Economics Is People

Economics is fundamentally about people. Economics studies how individuals, businesses, and societies make choices to manage scarce resources, fulfill needs, and pursue goals, focusing on human behavior, motivations, incentives, and the impact of decisions on well-being, not just numbers or money. While often seen through data, the core is human actions, from production and consumption to complex decisions driven by confidence, ethics, and values, highlighting that economies thrive or falter based on human factors.

Economics is people. So the irony of these “stick to economics” comments is that I am writing about the economy.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Prediction of the Day – Mish 2016-01-13

Trump is looking for a way to cancel the midterm elections. He will threaten to do so.

When he does, the vast majority of Republicans will look away. MAGA will cheer.
