BoardPro and the Institute of Community Directors Australia Partner to Strengthen Governance Across the Community and Non Profit Sector | Empower Stories | Build Authority

BoardPro and the Institute of Community Directors Australia (ICDA), have announced a new partnership aimed at strengthening governance practices across Australia’s community and not-for-profit sectors.

The partnership brings together ICDA’s trusted training and governance network with BoardPro’s purpose-built board management software, offering practical tools, resources, and insights that help boards operate efficiently, make informed decisions, and manage sensitive information securely.

“This partnership is about making good governance more accessible,” said Charlie Nowaczek, CEO, BoardPro. “ICDA has long been a leader in empowering community organisations, and by pairing that with BoardPro’s easy-to-use board management software, we’re helping boards of all sizes govern with confidence and clarity.”

As part of the agreement, BoardPro will introduce special pricing tiers designed to improve accessibility for ICDA 60,000 + members, while ICDA will leverage its national network to educate and engage directors, chairs, CEOs, and volunteers on the benefits of digital governance tools.

The collaboration will also explore ways to identify areas of strength and opportunity across the sector, supporting boards to improve their governance maturity, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

“At the Institute of Community Directors, we’re committed to equipping leaders with the skills and confidence they need to make a difference,” said Adele Stowe-Lindner – Executive Director, Institute of Community Directors Australia.

“By partnering with BoardPro, we’re ensuring that more community organisations have access to the tools and resources that help them thrive.”

“Communities suffer when small to medium not-for-profit organisations don’t have access to the tools that underpin good governance. We’re hopeful that this partnership will unlock those tools for many more organisations and, in turn, strengthen the communities they serve.”

This agreement formalises the shared commitment of both organisations to raise the standard of governance in the community sector. It sets a framework for ongoing collaboration, including joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building programs that empower Australia’s community leaders to succeed.
