PLDT Home and Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH) are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their partnership aimed at empowering Filipina mompreneurs—women recognized for their determination, creativity, and resilience. Launched in response to the economic challenges of the pandemic, the initiative has transformed from a modest support group into a robust online community of over 215,000 members. Over the past five years, the collaboration has provided training, business resources, and mentorship to more than 25,000 mompreneurs, equipping them with practical skills in digital marketing, financial management, and product development. Many members have successfully launched home-based businesses that not only supplement family incomes but also contribute to local economies and foster community development.

Gawad Madiskarte
MMPH is bringing back Gawad Madiskarte this year, its annual awards ceremony that recognizes outstanding Filipina mompreneurs for their leadership, compassion, and innovation. More than simply bestowing awards, Gawad Madiskarte serves as a powerful platform—uplifting women whose creativity and determination drive change within their families, communities, and the nation.

“You work wonders in three different worlds: the world of home, your own personal growth, and the world of business. At PLDT, we believe in the power of community, and our Madiskarte Moms exemplify this through their dedication and innovation,” said Menardo “Butch” Jimenez, PLDT Chief Operating Officer and Technology Head.
You Are Seen. You Are Heard. You Are Valued.
Every mompreneur in the Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH) community embodies dreams, resilience, and unwavering hope—not only for themselves but for their families. The Gawad Madiskarte Awards, organized annually by MMPH, go beyond recognizing excellence; they celebrate the courage, purpose, and enduring love that drive these women. This event honors mothers who persistently rise before dawn to manage their tasks, skillfully handle shipping logistics during spare moments, and tirelessly transform their passions into profitable businesses, even when facing significant challenges. These achievements contribute not only to their households’ wellbeing but also to the broader entrepreneurial community in the Philippines.
What Gawad Madiskarte Honors
Beyond simply founding and running their own businesses, mompreneurs are actively transforming the traditional understanding of what it means to be successful. They demonstrate that success encompasses not just achieving financial profit, but also having a meaningful purpose and creating tangible positive change in their communities. At the forthcoming 4th Gawad Madiskarte Awards, an empowering event dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements, visionary leaders from the fields of government, business, and entrepreneurship will gather once more. Together, they will pay tribute to these remarkable women, recognizing their innovation, resilience, and their pivotal roles in advocacy and community upliftment. This event highlights how mompreneurs continue to inspire and set new standards in both business and social spheres.
Winners will be selected under two divisions:
- Start-Up Mompreneurs – for businesses running at least 6 months
- Scale-Up Mompreneurs – for businesses operating 13 months or more and DTI/BIR-registered
Three major awards reflect MMPH’s core values:
- Diskarteng Angat – for growth and innovation
- Diskarteng May Puso – for social good and community impact
- Diskarteng Eco-Friendly – for sustainability and environment stewardship
Special awards include Diskarteng Digital (for creative digital use), the Mompreneurs’ Choice Award (voted by the MMPH community), and the Madiskarte Icon (for an exemplary leader and inspiration).
Stories of Triumph
Last year’s Diskarteng Angat – Scale-Up Division Award winner, Heidie Ricca del Rosario, founder of HTP Clothing, transformed a humble preloved clothing business into a thriving local fashion brand that empowers community seamstresses.

“Gawad Madiskarte allows us mompreneurs to be seen, heard, and celebrated. It fills our hearts to know the awards recognize that behind every successful business is a mom who made it happen,” Del Rosario said. (proposed quote)
