How To Get & Use Raider Hatch Keys

As is the case with just about every extraction shooter, getting loot is the easy part. It’s getting the goodies out and back to base, that’s the hard part, which is no different in Arc Raiders.

In this upcoming dystopian shooter, you’ll have to contend with Arc machines trying to take you down, not to mention fellow Raiders, and as soon as you start up that elevator to get below the surface, you’re essentially willingly putting a target on your back.

However, there is a way to avoid drawing attention to your position and get out of there quickly and quietly. You’ll need a Raider Hatch Key to make it happen, but sadly, they aren’t as easy to come by as Fabric, Plastic, and Metal. So, to help you locate them and use them effectively, here is a handy little guide.

How To Get Raider Hatch Keys

Raider Hatch Key

To get a Raider Hatch Key, you essentially have two options. You can either craft them or you can purchase them with Coins.

The easiest method is to purchase one from the Security Trader. She will sell you one for a cool 9,000 Coins, which seems like a lot, but if you’re on a good run and have double or even triple that value in your pack, you’ll be thankful for this pricey little key.

It’s worth noting, though, that you will only be able to buy one Raider Hatch Key per 24-hour period. So, it’s super important that you make it count.

That said, you can also craft these, provided you take the time to install a Utility Workbench in your workshop. This will require you to gather Arc Alloys, but it tends to be worthwhile to have all the workbenches there when you need them ahead of a run.

Once you have installed that bench, you can then, in theory, craft a Raider Hatch Key. This requires an Advanced Electrical Component and 3x Sensors. But wait, there’s a catch.

You can’t craft certain items until you upgrade your Utility Workbench to level two. At the time of writing (Server Crash), you are unable to craft these items yourself as you cannot level up your workbenches, so you will need to rely on purchasing these items at 9K a pop.

However, there is nothing stopping you from tracking these materials during runs and hoarding these components ahead of the game’s full release.

How To Use Raider Hatch Keys

Getting these items is either pricey or tricky, depending on how you go about it, but using them couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is pack the Raider Hatch Key when you head out, and when the time comes that you want to extract, you’ll want to open your map.

On the map, you’ll find multiple Raider Hatches dotted around the place, usually far away from hotbeds for action and Arc presence. So, mark a waypoint, head over there, and then use your key to call this elevator.

Unless you’re incredibly unlucky, you’ll probably never see a soul on your way to the elevator, and when accessing the lift. The only caveat would be that the lift won’t stay open forever, and if you miss it, you’ll have wasted your Hatch Key. So, don’t doddle.
