Big Brother 27 houseguest Jimmy Heagerty’s initial reaction to season 13 winner Rachel Reilly’s return to the game was that wanted to immediately get to work to have her evicted, but they became such close friends that he revealed that he would’ve given up his game for her. Jimmy, a 25-year-old strategy consultant originally from Sarasota, Florida, but now living in Washington, D.C., started off strong in Big Brother 27, winning one of the first competitions.
On Big Brother 27 premiere night, Jimmy found the Head of Household (HOH) relic in a game, which allowed him to choose which four houseguests would compete in the first HOH competition. He then won the second HOH competition, but, due to two mystery powers being leashed into the game, he ended up having to nominate five people for eviction.
Jimmy was a member of the Triple Threat alliance with Mickey Lee and Morgan Pope. However, after the week 3 vote, he decided to make a deal with some of the people on the other side of the house, including Keanu Soto. When Vince Panaro and Keanu informed HOH Mickey of this, she decided to use Jimmy as her replacement nominee when Keanu saved himself with the Power of Veto, which completely shocked Jimmy.
Ultimately, Jimmy was evicted by a vote of 9 to 2 over Kelley Jorgensen, even though Ashley Hollis made the unprecedented move of going back into the Diary Room to try to change her vote. Jimmy’s time in the Big Brother 27 house has come to an end, but he made a strong impression with his fiery speeches against Keanu, his gameplay and strategy, and his outrageous antics.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Jimmy discusses who he blames for his eviction, what he thought of Ashley trying to change her vote, his close relationship with Rachel, if he’d ever work with Keanu, what those black gloves meant to him, and if he’d ever be part of a Big Brother triplet twist.
Big Brother 27 Houseguest Jimmy Heagerty Blames Morgan Pope Most For His Eviction
Jimmy Felt Betrayed By Several Of His Allies
ScreenRant: Hi Jimmy! It’s great to see you. Sorry to see you out of the house so soon, though.
Jimmy Heagerty: Hey, me too. But it’s good to see the outside world. And it’s good to be back.
ScreenRant: Your triple threat ally, Mickey, nominated you for eviction after Vince mentioned that whole storage room agreement with the other side of the house. You seemed really shocked that she turned on you. And then Morgan voted you out. So who do you blame for your eviction most?
I mean, that’s a really good question. I still really blame the trio of Morgan, Vince, and Zach [Cornell]. Though looking at it back, it was probably Vince and Keanu that had more to do with me going up than those three. But I think Morgan had been planting seeds for weeks about my needing to go home with Mickey. And I think it was Morgan’s move that Mickey made.
So I don’t think it was great for Mickey’s game ’cause I was never coming for either of them. Never would have nominated them. Even if I had stayed in the house, I don’t even know if I would have nominated them. Though I’m a messy b**** so, at the end of the day, I probably would have. But I feel more betrayed by Morgan than Mickey because I knew she was plotting to get me out for a while.
Mickey, I do feel like had come to that more recent revelation. But I guess she’s the one who put me up, so maybe I should be blaming her. But I do feel more negatively, I guess, about it towards Morgan, for sure.
Jimmy Loved Ashley’s Attempt To Change Her Vote
Jimmy Thought The Incident Made His Eviction Iconic
ScreenRant: What did you think of Ashley going back into the Diary Room to change her vote?
[Laughs]. That was so Ashley. I think it was such a funny moment. It was, again, very quintessentially Ashley. And I mean, it gave us that iconic quote from Julie, the “No! No! No! No!” It’s beautiful to see, so I’m happy. I think it made my eviction night more iconic. And so I’m just happy for that. And no love lost between me and Ashley, for sure.
ScreenRant: Yeah, I don’t think anybody will ever forget that.
Jimmy Would’ve Given Up His Game For Rachel Reilly
Jimmy Loves & Admires Rachel
ScreenRant: You started off gunning for Rachel. And then you became best friends in the house. But tell me the truth. Would you have turned on her eventually?
No. Actually, Rachel was my Final 2. And she was the one person in this house that I trusted implicitly. I mean, I told her what my actual job was [Jimmy had told his fellow houseguests that he was a tennis instructor, rather than a strategy consultant]. I talked to her 100 % about my life.
Rachel’s–I mean, I’m not getting married for a while–but Rachel’s gonna be in my wedding. So like, these are the things that I feel like I connected with Rachel on a game level, but even more on a personal level. There is no ounce of me that ever could have turned against Rachel.
In fact, if Rachel and I were on the block next to each other, there’s a chance I would have walked out the door instead of letting her get evicted. I had felt like she was such a good player. She’s playing for her family and her kids. And I just respect her so much, respect her game plan, respect her as a person that I never would have turned on Rachel. Once we were like this, that was it for me.
ScreenRant: That’s great to hear. Oh wow. I can’t believe you said that you would have gone home in her place.
I mean, like, we’ll see how that would have played out. But I guess what I mean by that is, I don’t know that I would have campaigned against Rachel. I don’t know that I would have wanted to stay over Rachel. I don’t know. I just feel like she has so much to prove. Even though she’s already won it. She’s a mom. She’s coming back for a third time after 15 years. The entire house thinks they can use her as a piece of furniture or a pawn to take to Jury. And how cool would it be to see her sitting in those Final 2 chairs?
So I’ve always felt that way. And who knows what I would have done in the moment, but it would have been really hard sitting up there next to Rachel. So I’m at least glad that she’s safe for another week with Ava [Pearl] as HOH.
ScreenRant: I know. Me too.
Jimmy Plans To Wear Rachel’s Shirt To Some Special Events
Jimmy Also Cherishes His Black Gloves
ScreenRant: Rachel gave you her vintage shirt. What will you do with this cherished item now?
[Laughs]. Well, I will be wearing it. I have a few viewing parties coming up that it’ll probably make an appearance at. I absolutely love that shirt. I still think it’s ugly, but the fact that she gave it to me makes it extremely special, and it will go in the archive section of my closet for sure. And, whenever I miss Rachel a little extra, I’ll put that on for sure.
Now you always wore those black gloves. Did they have any special significance to you?
I’ve said it before. I’m a messy b****, and you can’t leave a fingerprint when you’re starting to plot. So I’m always wearing a glove. I love a glove. I always say my style ranges between grungy and elegance and that sort of juxtaposition, and gloves are always something that you can dress up or dress down. And I think they add a nice little touch to most outfits. So I’m usually wearing those gloves in many different colors. But yeah, like I said, I’m a messy b**** that you can’t leave a fingerprint [laughs].
Jimmy Might’ve Ended Up Working With Keanu Soto Later In The Game
Jimmy Wouldn’t Have Teamed Up With Keanu At The Point He Was Evicted
ScreenRant: You and Keanu had an explosive relationship in the house. Could you have ever seen yourself working with him?
Honestly, no. I wanted to build that bridge with Keanu to neutralize him as a threat. But, at the end of the day, I never trusted Keanu, and I don’t think I ever would’ve. If I was still there, do I think I could be working with him? Absolutely. Because I think he’s realizing he needs to work with somebody like Rachel and like Ashley more than he can trust somebody like Vince or like Zach.
So, because of that, if I was still there, maybe. But up until when I left … no. I was a hundred percent trying to neutralize him as a threat and didn’t trust Keanu as far as I could throw him. Apparently he didn’t trust me either. Maybe that was smart [laughs].
Jimmy Revealed That Some People Thought There Was A Big Brother 27 Triplet Twist
Jimmy Is A Fraternal Triplet
ScreenRant: You’re a triplet. Could there have been a triplet twist in the house? I know you have a brother and a sister. Are they fans of the show? Could it have happened?
Well, they’re fans of the show this season, that’s for sure. No, they don’t watch as much as I do. Who knows? Maybe one of them will end up on the show in the near future, but I did see some of the theories that Ava was my sister and Vince was my brother. So I thought that was kind of interesting. But, I did let people know we were fraternal. So you would know if there was a triplet twist happening in front of you.
ScreenRant: Thank you so much, Jimmy. It was a pleasure to talk to you. I hope to see you in a future season, maybe all-stars, but it was great speaking with you. Thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you. And hey, me too. Keep an eye on your screens. Jimmy’s not going anywhere [laughs].
