Dispatch getting revealed at The Game Awards 2024 made some waves because of its star-studded cast, which includes marquee names like Aaron Paul and Jeffrey Wright, and now it’s finally set for release this year. From former The Wolf Among Us devs, Dispatch follows Robert Robertson, a disgraced superhero now tasked with a desk job and dispatch duty.
According to a new Dispatch trailer uploaded to the IGN YouTube account, Dispatch‘s first two episodes will release on October 22, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game’s episodic run will take place over the span of four weeks, with two new episodes arriving each week. The trailer description also announced its pricing: $30 for all eight episodes, or $40 for the season’s deluxe edition, which “includes a digital artbook and four digital comics.“
Dispatch Full Episode Release Schedule Revealed

            Two New Episodes Each Week

Developer and publisher AdHoc Studio has been very up front about its heritage, being founded by former Telltale Games devs who worked on titles like The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead, and Tales from the Borderlands. As such, superhero workplace comedy Dispatch is adopting a similar episodic format. There will be eight total episodes released over the span of four weeks, starting October 22. Here is the full release schedule, provided subsequent episode pairs also release on Wednesdays:
- Episodes 1 and 2 – October 22
- Episodes 3 and 4 – October 29
- Episodes 5 and 6 – November 5
- Episodes 7 and 8 – November 12
The release dates have only been announced for PS5 and PC; it’s unclear if Dispatch intends to release on any other platforms in the future. Joining Aaron Paul and Jeffrey Wright in voicing Dispatch‘s characters are Laura Bailey, Erin Yvette, Seán McLoughlin (jacksepticeye), Charlie White (MoistCr1TiKaL), Alanah Pearce, Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer, Joel Haver, Lance Cantstopolis, Thot Squad, Yung Gravy, and Mayanna Berrin.
Dispatch Developer Is A Spiritual Successor To Original Telltale Games

            AdHoc Studio’s Debut Title

AdHoc Studio was founded by veterans of Telltale Games, which filed for bankruptcy in 2018, and has subsequently been relaunched under new ownership. Dispatch is thus in the same vein of narrative adventure games, though it does boast a layer of strategy gameplay on top of the typical dialog and action decisions. The strategy comes into play as main character Robert Robertson, voiced by Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, dispatches superheroes to deal with reported crimes.
AdHoc feels like a spiritual successor to Telltale’s original incarnation, but is also actively working with the new iteration of Telltale Games. AdHoc will develop the Telltale-published The Wolf Among Us 2. AdHoc’s other revealed project is code named Project Exandria, taking place in Critical Role‘s famous universe and being published by the show’s production company. Dispatch seems poised for success with its star-studded cast, and is well on its way to releasing numerous projects with similarly recognizable partners.
