One of Hollow Knight: Silksong‘s Gather quests tasks Hornet with finding Silver Bells around Bellhart, but getting started on this particular task can be a bit confusing. The prompt tells you to venture into the tunnels above and below Bellhart, but you might do a tunnel run and walk out the other end realizing you haven’t found a silver bell.
Unlike quests that depend on consistent locations or task Hornet with slaying enemies, the Silver Bell quest is a little less consistent. By knowing where to look, however, you can ultimately clean up all the Silver Bells you need within a matter of minutes and check that one off the Wishwall.
Where To Find The Bellhart Tunnels
The Wish for Silver Bells mentions tunnels above and below Bellhart, which are both easy enough to access. The tunnels above Bellhart can be visited by taking the elevator to the right of the town and heading upward from the area where you Hornet fought Widow back into the tunnels that took you there. Alternately, you can enter from Shellwood like you did the first time.
The tunnels beneath Bellhart can be found to the right of the Bellway. Enter the Bellway station, head to the far end, and attack the wall to open up tunnel access. These tunnels will open up to The Marrow on the other end once you fully explore them.
Where To Find All Silver Bells
You’re free to hit either the upper or lower tunnels first. Revisiting the upper ones is a little simpler, so I ran through them first to collect a few bells. Attack enemies in your path, but don’t worry if you don’t end up coming across any other bells. Just pop out the other end into the Shellwood and head back in.
Bell spawns are generally random, so you’ll likely see some on your second pass if you don’t on the first. They tend to drop in hall areas where they can be easily picked up.
Making your way through the lower tunnels will require a little more care. Once you get deep into them, a few floor areas might drop out from under you, so be ready to avoid any spikes. Break any walls and ceilings that you can to open up more pathways and make return navigation quicker.
While you’re in the lower tunnels, you can also visit the Bell Hermit, although he isn’t the nicest NPC around. The Bell Hermit can be found just under the Bellway at the location indicated in the image above.
Once you’ve collected eight Silver Bells, you can head back to Bellhart and complete the Wish via the Wishwall. You’ll get a Rosary Necklace with 120 Rosaries for your efforts.
If you’re just looking for the rewards, this task may not be worth it, as you could likely earn the same amount of Rosaries more quickly by farming enemies. If you’re intent on granting every Wish found in Hollow Knight: Silksong, however, this is at least a relatively easy one.
