Louis Partridge’s House Of Guinness Will be Followed Up By Netflix’s Pride & Prejudice

Louis Partridge’s House of Guinness is officially streaming, and his next big project on Netflix is nearly here as well. The 22-year-old actor had his breakthrough role in Millie Bobby Brown’s Enola Holmes in 2020 (as well as its sequels). From there, Netflix has continued to accelerate Partridge’s career. This meant, most recently, a leading role in the historical drama series, House of Guinness.

House of Guinness comes from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, and revolves around the wealthy family responsible for the still-popular Guinness beer. Partridge plays Edward Guinness, who ran the brewery alongside his older brother, Arthur Guinness (Anthony Boyle). The series premiered on Netflix on September 25, 2025, and has seen excellent critical reception.

Partridge gives a spectacular performance in House of Guinness, no doubt contributing to the show’s promising 87% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This success naturally prompts us to look ahead to future projects from this rising star, one of which is expected to stream on Netflix within the year.

Louis Partridge’s Next Netflix Series After House Of Guinness Is Pride & Prejudice

Partridge has a particularly exciting role on the way after House of Guinness season 1. The actor is reportedly in the middle of filming for Netflix’s TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, in which he will play Mr. George Wickham. It’s a very different project from House of Guinness, but that makes it no less intriguing.

Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice is written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn, known for his work on Doctor Who, Sherlock, Black Mirror, and His Dark Materials, among others. In addition to Partridge, the TV show adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic romance will star Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, and much, much more.

Although there have been dozens of Pride and Prejudice adaptations in various forms over the years, Netflix’s new series should present the story in its longest on-screen form. We should dive deeper into the tale than ever before, and after House of Guinness, there’s even more reason to be excited about Partridge’s involvement in the series.

Pride and Prejudice will be a significant shift for Partridge after House of Guinness. This most recent Netflix series sees the actor step into the role of a primary protagonist. Edward Guinness is a bit full of himself and drunk on power, but he remains likable nonetheless. This fits right in with Partridge’s previous roles, since he typically plays devilishly charming young men.

Partridge’s Pride and Prejudice character is comparatively dastardly.

Partridge’s Pride and Prejudice character is comparatively dastardly. George Wickham is certainly charming at first—those familiar with Jane Austen’s story know that Elizabeth Bennet at first begins to fall for Mr. Wickham before learning of his true nature. Once all that comes to light, it’s pretty clear that Wickham is about as sleazy a villain as they come.

It should be great fun to see Partridge fill this role in the upcoming Netflix series. He will fall easily within the charming bits of Wickham’s involvement in Pride and Prejudice, but, a handful of episodes in, we’ll begin to see that villainous shift. Overall, it’s an excellent next step for Partridge’s career, as it leverages his strengths as an actor while introducing a fresh new challenge.

Louis Partridge Has Found A Knack For Period Piece Roles At Netflix

Partridge got his start as a child actor, appearing in a variety of smaller projects and roles. The first major film on which he was credited was 2015’s Pan, followed by his role as G-Man in Paddington 2, two years later. Still, it wasn’t until the release of Enola Holmes in 2020 that Partridge really gained recognition. The charming Viscount Tewesbury was just the character to advertise Partridge’s acting chops.

Between the Enola Holmes movies and House of Guinness, it has become clear that Partridge really has a knack for period pieces. Netflix seems to have picked up on this fact as well, which is why the exciting decision was made to add him to the cast list for Pride and Prejudice. Partridge just has that timeless and classically charming look, which adds even further excitement for what his career will bring us next.

House of Guinness season 1 is available to stream, and Pride and Prejudice is on the way within the next year, but these aren’t the only projects Partridge has in the works. He’ll be appearing in the movie Jay Kelly, which stars George Clooney and Adam Sandler (releasing in theaters on November 14, 2025, and on Netflix on December 5).

After Jay Kelley, Partridge will again play Viscount Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes 3. Production for this movie has been completed, and it is expected to be released on Netflix near the beginning of 2026.

Finally, even so soon after the release of House of Guinness season 1, Knight has confirmed that they are pursuing season 2. So, we can expect to see Partridge return to again play Endward Guinness in a sophomore installment—and hopefully in several more seasons to follow.
