The Golden Bachelor season 2 starring Mel Owens features contestant Nicolle Briscoe, and her behavior during the season has been so bizarrely bad that it appears that she must be a producer plant. Nicolle, a 64-year-old yoga instructor from Miami, Florida, has been one of the frontrunners for Mel’s heart since the premiere.
Mel, a 66-year-old NFL player-turned-lawyer from Detroit, Michigan, upset some of the women during the first pool party when he kissed Nicolle in the pool in front of everyone. After that, he chose her to have a one-on-one dinner after the comedy roast group date.
Throughout The Golden Bachelor season 2, Nicolle has been building a strong connection with Mel, but her recent behavior has cast her as the villain of the season. In fact, her actions have been so blatantly disrespectful that it appears that she’s not genuinely there to find love with Mel, and she might instead be a producer plant.
Nicolle Was Very Vocal About Her Ambitions For After The Golden Bachelor
Nicolle Wants To Be An Influencer
During The Golden Bachelor season 2 episode 4, Nicolle revealed to the other women that she wants to be an influencer. She explained that she didn’t feel that she was dating Mel, but rather dating America, because the show would give them all exposure like they’d never had. Nicolle also told them that they’d have Housewife status after the show ended.
Nicolle then stated that The Golden Bachelor season 2 cast was beautiful, and that the season 1 women “weren’t so great-looking.” She also shared that her Instagram page contains mostly healthy, plant-based recipes, but she’d love to be a spokeswoman for midlife beauty or health products. Nicolle concluded by saying that she wanted to be an influencer.
During the group date, contestant Robin Rocha tried to warn Mel that some people might not be there for the right reasons, but Mel told her that he thought that everyone was being genuine. Nicolle’s outrageous comments aren’t new for the Bachelor franchise, as many past contestants have been accused of using the show as a stepping stone to become influencers. However, her insult to the season 1 cast took her villain status to another level.
Nicolle’s comments were so over-the-top and mean that she seemed to have only been cast on the show to create drama. The Golden Bachelor season 1 didn’t have any conflict among the women who became great friends, except for Kathy Swarts telling Theresa Nist to “Zip it” about her relationship with Gerry Turner, so it’s possible that the producers wanted to bring some chaos to the series and found Nicolle to do it.
Nicolle Took Credit For The Lemon Bars That The Other Women Made For Mel
Nicolle Didn’t Care About Her Fellow Contestants & Created More Drama
As if Nicolle’s aspiration to be an influencer weren’t enough, she then did something completely bizarre during the episode 4 tailgate party. The women decided to make lemon bars for Mel because he’d told them that he loved lemon desserts. The women all pitched in to bake for him, but Nicolle eventually slipped outside to relax in the jacuzzi while they worked.
The women had agreed that they’d present Mel with the lemon bars together, but Nicolle gave them to him on her own, and took credit for baking them, when she clearly hadn’t. It was a really strange moment that it made it seem as though Nicolle was a producer plant who was cast to create drama. Her behavior didn’t seem like something someone would actually do in the real world.
Nicolle has been causing problems throughout The Golden Bachelor season 2 so far, with her public displays of affection with Mel and her strange behavior. She’s looking more and more like a producer plant. Every season there seems to be one contestant who stands out from the rest of the cast because of their villain demeanor, and Nicolle is that person in Mel’s season. Hopefully, The Golden Bachelor star will realize that Nicolle’s intentions aren’t genuine before it’s too late.
