Three months after the release of Amy Bradley Is Missing on Netflix, there are three “very significant” leads in the case. The three-episode docuseries investigates the disappearance of Amy Bradley, a 23-year-old woman who went missing during a Royal Caribbean cruise in 1998.
No body was ever found, which made officials believe that she either jumped off the cruise ship or fell overboard during the journey to Curaçao. There have been many theories about what happened to Amy Bradley, including that she took her own life or was sold into human trafficking, along with alleged reports of her being seen in Curaçao or Aruba. Bradley’s family refutes any theory that her disappearance was due to an accident or suicide.
The docuseries became a streaming hit for Netflix, where it spent four weeks in the streamer’s top 10 charts following the July 16 debut. This helped bring new attention to Bradley’s disappearance, leading to hundreds of new leads since being brought to her family and the FBI.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are now three major new leads in the case. The first lead involves a bar server from the ship, who can reportedly corroborate that Bradley was kidnapped. The server was heard shouting, “Senorita kidnapped!” before being told to “shut up” and be removed from the scene by a bartender.
Any mention or an appearance from the server was left out of Amy Bradley Is Missing because her identity and connection to the case was previously unknown. Thanks to the show, she is allegedly now sharing what she knows and speaking with investigators. However, Bradley’s mother told People that the woman has not been located or interviewed yet.
The second lead is related to Bradley’s missing-persons website, which recently received a “highly suspicious” hit. The website is being actively monitored, with the hope that Bradley may try to contact her family through it. Geolocating has enabled investigators to trace the “highly suspicious” hit to the IP address of a boat near Barbados. There was also a reported sighting of Bradley in Barbados and the FBI has spoken with the witness.
The third lead involves a potential child that Bradley had, a possibility that was touched upon but not fully explored in the docuseries. The THR report says new evidence makes the existence of a child more likely, and it also raises the likelihood that Bradley is still alive and did not die during the cruise decades ago.
In the aftermath of Amy Bradley Is Missing‘s release, these three leads are being investigated. There is now an opportunity for Bradley’s family to finally learn what happened and to receive long-overdue closure.
