Mortal Kombat 11, like many other fighting games, uses combos as its strongest mechanic that allows you to deal high amounts of damage without giving the opponent a chance to fight back. Every character can use attack strings and special moves together to launch opponents into the air. Using the right timing and precise buttons, you can juggle your enemies to drain their health and get closer to victory.
There are multiple strong combos in the game, with some being very difficult to perform. This can be due to high meter costs or the need for a Krushing Blow in Mortal Kombat 11, but dealing significant damage is always a benefit to doing a combo correctly. Easier combos that require no meter typically do significantly less damage, making them only useful when your character is out of resources.

Robocop (OCP’s Finest)
Set Up The Law’s Best Conditions
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★ |
★ |
- Combo – Serve the Public Trust → Cobra Assault Cannon (Special Move) → Amplify
Robocop is not a character with an extensive list of combos, as the character is more designed to keep opponents away with firearm projectiles. However, this “zoning” strategy only works if you can establish it early, which this combo allows you to do fast. This combo is incredibly easy, using an advancing attack and one special move that is very simple for beginners to understand.
When you do this combo, spending a slight amount of resources on the Cobra Assault Cannon’s amplification will knock your opponent back to the opposite end of the screen. From there, you can pepper the battlefield with projectiles, chipping away at your enemy’s health before doing this combo again and repeatededly putting yourself in a good position to win.

Liu Kang (Luohan Quan)
Use Dragon Fire To Keep Your Opponent In The Air
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★★ |
★★★ |
For the intents and purposes of this list, combo damage with more stars indicates higher damage, while a high-star combo difficulty means it is harder to perform.
Liu Kang, one of the best characters in the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie, also has some of the strongest combos in the game. This combo only works in the Luohan Quan variation, one of the pre-set compilations of special moves for characters in Mortal Kombat 11. While you can use a custom variation to flush out which special moves a character has, sometimes it’s better to use already existing ones if you’re a beginner.
The most important part of this combo is to use No Loyalty as early as possible and leave the opponent high enough to follow up with the low fireball. You have to land the Dragon Parry against an opponent’s move first, but this should be easy to accomplish against over-aggressive foes.
Ending this combo with Liu Kang’s Fatal Blow attack at low health leads to almost 69% damage, which is exceptionally high for any combo in the game. It does require some practice to get the Low Fireball timing right, but other than that, it is one of the easiest and strongest combos in Mortal Kombat 11.

Skarlet (Heart Piece)
Make Your Enemies Bleed Fast
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★ |
★ |
Skarlet not only has some of the best character customization options in Mortal Kombat 11 but also the best guaranteed-to-hit combo for her Fatal Blow. The most important aspect, as can be understood simply by looking at the combo, is how absurdly easy it is to perform. You only need to get a stray hit on an enemy with Downward Stab to immediately land the Bleeding attack string right after.
With only three moves total, this combo can reach up to 45% damage without giving the opponent any chance to break. This chain of attacks lacks a special move for higher damage, but it is a fast and guaranteed way to hit Scarlet’s Fatal Blow in Mortal Kombat 11. Although this combo works in every Scarlet variation, it is recommended you select Heart Piece due to its better selection of moves.

Kitana (Fan Service)
Take Your Opponent’s Health To Razor’s Edge
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★ |
★★★ |
Kitana’s combo is one of the best options for a combo that requires no meter usage at all. When using the Fan Service variation, you gain more moves involving Kitana’s sharp fans, which contribute to a ton of combos. For this one, it is important to hold the attack button when performing Edenian Razors so that all three fans from the special move hit the enemy to keep them in the combo.
Before moving on to Blood Sacrifice, you need to release the Edenian Razors just before the final fan hits to have the right timing for the next part of the combo. Thankfully, finding the perfect timing between these two moves is the only challenging part. With enough practice, this combo can be mastered effectively and easily to deal up to 42% damage to a rival fighter.

Kotal Kahn (Just Emperor)
Strike Quickly From An Unexpected Hit
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★★ |
★★★ |
Any combos that include uppercut have great damage, but Kotal Kahn manages to combine it with his Fatal Blow for a solid 50%. Kotal Kahn is one of the few characters who can combo out of his uppercut, which is usually used for anti-air incoming jumping attacks from opponents.
The hardest part of this combo is pulling off Royal Backhand and Kahn-Cut quickly, as they require some pretty fast fingers to perform.
You can only use this combo in the Just Emperor variation since it gives you the special move you need. If successful, this combo gives Kotal Kahn a great way to use his Fatal Blow while dealing exceptionally high damage. On top of that, finishing the opponent with Kat Food, one of the best fatalities in the game, can be the cherry on the cake.
10
Kollector (Squander)
Customize Your Combo Based On Your Resources
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★ |
★★ |
This Kollector combo in his Squander variation is solid overall and is capable of dealing up to 40% damage, but its main asset is its flexibility. It can either be further extended into a second Pillaged and Relic Lure after Amplifying or switched completely by using the Amplified Relic Lure early to counter an opponent’s break. Both of these on-the-fly changes you can perform spend more meter, but help this combo reach almost 50% damage.
Due to its versatility, this Kollector combo is one of the most reliable MK11 has to offer. The long-reaching attacks of the Collector make his combo easier to perform compared to other characters, but you shouldn’t use that as an excuse for not having the right timing. If you spend all your resources and fail to complete this combo, you will be in a bad position against your opponent.
9
Sub-Zero (Dead of Winter)
Freeze Your Enemies Solid
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★ |
★ |
- Combo – Icy Grave → Ice Ball (Special Move) → Amplify → Rising Axe → Cold Encounter
This Sub-Zero combo is extremely easy to perform due to the Dead of Winter’s variation, which allows you to freeze enemies mid-combo. While other Mortal Kombat titles have allowed Sub-Zero to freeze enemies with Ice Ball for free, Mortal Kombat 11 locks it behind a variation. You have to Amplify the Ice Ball special move to lock your rival down in ice for a free combo.
The long-reaching Icy Grave attack string makes this combo a great way to punish enemies who over-extend themselves trying to attack you. While the damage may seem low at first, you can get a Krushing Blow from Cold Encounter because the combo is eight hits or more. This increases the damage significantly, giving you at least 40% damage and putting you in a good position to continue your pressure.
8
Kollector (Squander)
Reset Your Opponent For Total Combo Freedom
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★ |
★ |
The Kollector has some even stronger combos from his Squander variation that do not even require specific attack strings or special moves. When you do any strong combo with this character, you can end it with the Mine Mine Mine (Triangle, Square + X) attack string, which fully resets the opponent’s character.
This Kollector combo works with any of the character’s many variations, but it is recommended that you use Squander to have access to other powerful special moves.
This combo can reach way over 50% damage and allows for some extreme creativity, as it is not limited to any specific moves at all. Although this may not even seem like a combo at first, it acts as a pre-cursor or starting component to what happens next. The Kollector could follow up this combo with a jump-in attack that leads to huge damage, an unbreakable projectile, or even a Fatal Blow if you’re lucky.
7
Sindel (Kustom)
Use Specific Special Moves To Deal Huge Damage
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★★ |
★★★★★ |
This Sindel combo uses a Kustom variation, which you will have to put together yourself in the character’s customization options. Make sure to include Scream, Deadly Echo (Air), and Banshee Dash (Air) to have every tool needed for this combo to work. Scream is a great way to start this combo, as it prevents you from getting anti-aired by the opponent during the next move.
Although this can be one of the hardest combos in the game to perform, its payoff is significant since it can be improved by adding Deadly Echo and Banshee Dash again after Amplfying. On top of that, if Sindel’s Fatal Blow isn’t available, any other move at the end will do, like Straight Hair. This combo can deal over 50% damage easily, but you need to practice the right timing to get it right every time.
6
Shao Khan (Kustom)
Push Your Opponent Into Bad Positions
Combo Damage |
Combo Difficulty |
★★★ |
★★ |
- Combo — You Will Never Win → Shoulder Charger (Special Move) → Amplify → Jump → Final Strike → Tenderizer → Wrath Hammer (Special Move)
Shao Khan may have many weaknesses in MK11, but his combos are not one of them. This combo aims to immediately open up your opponent with a low attack, then cancel the hit into Shao Khan’s Shoulder Charge special move, which knocks your opponent very far back, trapping them in the corner if they are close enough.
Experienced players can Amplify Shao Khan’s Shoulder Charge and hold Down to beat the opponent’s breakaway option, dealing extra damage and popping up their foe for an extended juggle.
While it can be difficult to incorporate a jumping attack into this combo, players have the option to skip straight to Tenderizer and Wrath Hammer after the Shoulder Charge. Doing this gifts you with a simple, sweet, 30–40% damage string of powerful strikes, with a Krushing Blow attached to a hammer blessed by the Dark Priest special move if it’s included in your custom variation.
