Spider-Man: Brand New Day is honoring the tradition of Tom Holland’s previous Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy, as an Avenger will be taking part in the fourth installment. After having been missing from the MCU timeline since the end of 2021, the web-crawler is less than a year away from finally being back on the big-screen.
With filming still underway, @UnBoxPHD revealed the first look at Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner from the Spider-Man: Brand New Day set. While in between filming, the MCU veteran was spotted covered up in a green coat, standing alongside several crew members.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed on August 1, 2025, that the long-time Marvel Studios star was in talks to join the project. While speaking to ET Online on September 4, 2025, Ruffalo commented on his Spider-Man appearance by keeping it very cryptic:
Mark Ruffalo: I don’t know, I’m still waiting to hear. I haven’t read a script yet. Well, if it does happen, it would be [Laughs] incredible. I grew up with this, and it’s changed my life in the best ways. Each time, it’s a new director, a new world, and it’s so exciting. There’s nothing else like it. A TV show doesn’t change its world from one director to the next, and that’s what is exciting.
