Stranger Things is releasing its final season beginning this month, but the release hasn’t been smooth sailing with rumors between co-stars and on-screen father and daughter Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.

During the Stranger Things Season 5 Premiere, co-stars Brown and Harbour squashed rumors of an alleged rift as the pair were seen hugging on the red carpet. Netflix is hosting a Premiere event available to livestream for fans all over the world. There were reports stating Harbour would be avoiding the premiere amid recent accusations reported by the Daily Mail and Harbour’s estranged wife Lily Allen.

Brown and Harbour have avoided commenting on their alleged feud after it was rumored that Brown filed a harassment report against her co-star for bullying claims. Harbour has mainly avoided press tours due to the ongoing allegations that are following the actor, but he’s also been working on other projects, including Violent Night 2.

’80s-inspired sci-fi Stranger Things aired on Netflix in 2016 and is releasing the final season of the global phenomenon. With spin-offs, merch, and more — the impact of this Netflix series has been unprecedented. The series itself even includes iconic ’80s actors such as Winona Ryder, Sean Astin, and Linda Hamilton with an equally inspired soundtrack which included Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” that had a global resurgence.

Brown and Harbour have yet to comment on the current allegations of a rift, but the embrace seems to signify that nothing is amiss amongst the actors. Netflix and The Duffer Brothers have also refrained from commenting on the ongoing drama surrounding the release of their final season.

Stranger Things, created by The Duffer Brothers, will release season 5 in parts. Volume 1 premieres on November 26, Volume 2 on December 25, and the highly-anticipated finale will air on December 31.
