A wonderful new day-one release is heading to Xbox Game Pass, and fans of cozy and survival games will want to check it out as soon as it arrives. The month of November has been a huge one for the subscription service, which is seeing its value grow with new additions. Just a few days ago, members got to see 1000xResist join Xbox Game Pass. For reference, this indie title is considered one of the best games of 2024.
Most recently, a few day-one releases were added to the catalog. For instance, Dead Static Drive was added to Game Pass on November 6, allowing players to experience a brand-new take on the survival horror genre. The catalog is constantly expanding with new titles, though a few are also removed every month. Even so, the new additions are what you should look out for.
Xbox Game Pass Gets Winter Burrow Day-One On November 12
The Indie Game Is Available For Consoles, PC, & Cloud
Now, Winter Burrow is getting added to the catalog on November, 12 on day one, as part of the new additions to Xbox Game Pass in November 2025. As a day-one release, the indie game developed by Pine Creek Games will be made available solely for the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. If you’re an Essential or Premium tier member, you’ll need to upgrade your membership to play this cozy game.
Starting on November 12, subscribers to Microsoft’s gaming service under the aforementioned tiers will be able to play Winter Burrow on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and cloud gaming. Titles added to Game Pass usually take a few months, if not a full year, to be removed from the catalog, so you may have plenty of time to play it before it leaves the service.

The Game May Resemble Stardew Valley
Winter Burrow is a cozy survival game in which you control a cute mouse who has returned to his childhood home. There, you’ll be gathering resources, crafting, baking, and befriending locals in preparation to survive the harsh winter that will soon hit your abode. Meanwhile, your aunt has also gone missing, so you’ll not only manage resources, but your own time.
In more ways than one, Winter Burrow resembles cozy games like Stardew Valley, Littlewood, and Sun Haven. However, it has a winter-themed coating and a remarkable hand-drawn art style that sets it apart from the traditional pixel-art style embraced by many of the titles in the genre.
Winter Burrow should be a fantastic game to play as the seasons change and we enter the cozier period of the year. This is one of the many new day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass this month, and I’m excited to check it out.
