The date and time of the Genshin Impact 6.2 livestream is set to be announced very soon, and when the event happens, players will be able to get a better glimpse of the new playable characters, as well as the upcoming story developments. Even though developer HoYoverse has yet to make official announcements, a lot of information about the next patch has already been revealed via leaks.

For example, there will be a new signature weapon for Venti in Genshin Impact, according to the Version 6.2 beta test leaks. These leaks have also revealed details about the two new playable characters, potential buffs to a series of older characters as a means of synergizing with one of the new units, as well as some potential story quest developments that may occur, though HoYoverse will likely keep a lot under wraps to not spoil the player experience.

Genshin Impact 6.2 Livestream – Date & Time

The Version 6.2 Livestream Will Likely Occur On November 21

The developer has yet to make an official announcement for the upcoming Version 6.2 livestream. However, it’s possible to speculate when this livestream will occur based on HoYoverse’s regular behavior and when the patch itself is set to be released. Version livestreams tend to occur two weeks before the update’s arrival, on Fridays.

Patches are usually set six weeks apart if there are no delays. Based on the release of Genshin Impact 6.1, the Version 6.2 update is expected to drop on December 3. As such, the best guess is that the Version 6.2 livestream will happen on November 21, at some point in the morning – likely at around 8 am ET.

The official announcement containing the definitive date and time should occur a few days prior to the event. If it does not, then it could be a sign that not only the livestream will be pushed back, but the update itself. Even so, HoYoverse has kept a steady release schedule without delays for years and has shown no indications of delaying it.

Older Characters Will Get Buffs

One of the main topics under the spotlight in the Version 6.2 livestream will be new characters, their kits, and the banner structure for the patch. HoYoverse has already confirmed two new playable characters in the patch. The first of them is Durin. According to the leaks about Durin’s kit in Genshin Impact 6.2, he is a 5-star Pyro character who wields a sword in combat.

The leaks say Durin is a sub-DPS who has two distinct forms of off-field Pyro DMG application, depending on how players use his abilities. Durin’s leaks indicate he will have access to buffs for Pyro-related reactions, which are also based on what form he takes on through his rotation. In addition to that, Durin’s leaked kit confirms he is part of the Hexerei faction, which had previously been leaked as the Hexenzirkel faction in Genshin Impact.

The Hexerei characters will have special synergies, which will grant them buffs if they are paired up with other characters from the faction, much like how regional characters get stronger with allies from the same nation. According to the leaks, the Hexerei faction is composed of Durin, Albedo, Venti, Mona, Klee, Fischl, Razor, and Sucrose.

This, in turn, has led to leaks saying that each of these older characters from the upcoming Hexerei faction will get buffs to their gameplay kits, some of which will be to a much larger extent than the rest. As was mentioned, Venti is even getting a new signature weapon, according to the leaks, showing that HoYoverse is keen on giving him a better team comp presence, which will be aided by Durin, for example.

The second new character confirmed for the patch is Jahoda. According to the leaks about Jahoda in Genshin Impact, she’ll be a 4-star Anemo bow user. Her leaked gameplay kit seems to indicate she’ll function as both a secondary damage dealer and a healer for team comps. As an Anemo character, Jahoda will work better with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo characters, like Flins.

In addition to the finer details about each of their gameplay kits and the buffs that the older characters will receive, the Version 6.2 livestream should also confirm the leaked Genshin Impact 6.2 banners. According to the leaks, Durin will debut in Phase 1 alongside a Venti rerun, while Phase 2 banners will be composed of Varesa and Xilonen reruns.

Genshin Impact 6.2 Livestream – Story Quest Updates, Events, & More

There Will Be A Free Event Weapon To Claim

The story content shouldn’t be explored too much during the Version 6.2 livestream, but the event will likely tease the larger events that are set to occur in the upcoming Archon Quests. The game’s story is getting significantly more serious with important battles occurring in Nod-Krai, so the next update should pick up after the most recent events.

Additionally, the Version 6.2 livestream will likely detail all the new events that will be featured in the next update. There will be a flagship event, as suggested by a free weapon leak in Genshin Impact 6.2, which means that a lot of the patch’s content will lean on optional content.

Based on the leaks, a lot is in store for the next update, and the majority of the content will likely be showcased during the Version 6.2 livestream. The action RPG’s main campaign is tackling some of its most important topics yet, so if you’re curious, you can’t miss the Genshin Impact 6.2 livestream next week.
