Black Ops 7 Settings You Should Change Right Away

It’s time for another Call of Duty, which means that you’ll want to take another look at your settings and ensure they’re up to par. If you have an issue with how Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 plays, it might be resolved by tweaking a hidden setting just a tad.

While aiming and sensitivity are obvious go-tos, there are also several other settings that you might not think about as often. Sometimes, audio cues and individual sound levels can make all the difference as you jump into multiplayer.

Best Visual & Audio Settings To Change In Black Ops 7

Alter The Music Setting First

Black Ops 7 Sound Options

Adjust your music setting first, as it can severely impact gameplay, especially in multiplayer. The music gets extremely intense near the end of a match, where the last few kills can swing a game, so turn it down or off entirely. Also, consider turning down dialogue volume, so you can hear footsteps and other sounds while NPCs are barking at you.

If possible, use headphones with stereo output, so you can better hear the footsteps of other players. Reducing the tinnitus sound is also a must, so you can more clearly hear when you get hit with a big killstreak (which is going to happen a lot in Black Ops 7).

Conversely, your video options can also impact your experience. Here are some suggestions for the best video settings for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7:

  • Display Mode – Fullscreen Exclusive
  • Resolution: 2560×1440
  • Field of View – 90-120 (this is a great variable place to start from, but adjust it to your liking, and test it out in training)
  • NVIDIA Reflex Latency: On
  • VRS: Off

If you’re experiencing performance issues, consider adjusting shadow and lightning settings to “low” or “very low” as your first option. Motion and weapon blur are also great go-tos for an instant performance upgrade.

Best Gameplay Settings To Change In Black Ops 7

Do This Before You Start Playing

Black Ops 7 Gameplay Options

We’ll start with the most contentious aspect of shooters: aim assist. If you’re using a controller, this feature is typically enabled by default and can help assist your aim with gentle nudges and other minor tweaks to how aiming works. As an experiment, try turning it off for a few games to see how you perform, then turn it back on.

Sensitivity is another option to consider. This is another case of “adjust, and try it out in a training session.” Our suggestion is to adjust the horizontal and vertical stick sensitivity to 1.5, which isslightly above the default setting.

In every Call of Duty, slide/dive behavior can be a game-changer. There are multiple options to choose from, allowing you to determine how the game responds when you trigger a slide or dive, with five specific settings to toggle. If you find yourself not wanting to open doors when you sprint/slam into them, go to advanced movement settings, and toggle “sprinting door bash” off. This more stealthy option could be helpful in Skirmish, where you’re facing a squad of 20 other players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 supports a wide array of controller settings and playstyles, developed over the years in response to requests from fans and top players. If there’s an option you can think of, you can probably change it in Black Ops 7.
