There has been a series of leaks about a new character in Genshin Impact 6.3, and their status as a potential adeptus is totally surprising, especially with the details provided about them. The action RPG created by HoYoverse is set to enter Version 6.2 in a couple of weeks, as the Genshin Impact 6.2 livestream is predicted to occur later this week. The presentation will likely showcase Durin and the new campaign missions for the period.
Currently, the majority of the leaks are centered around Version 6.2 since they stem directly from the beta tests. Even though the content in the beta tests is subject to change, the leaks are more reliable, as they come from an internal build. As such, you can reliably know what to expect from Durin’s kit and Venti’s buffs in Genshin Impact 6.2, for example. Even so, some attention is already shifting toward the future.
New Genshin Impact Character May Be A Long-Awaited Adeptus
The New Playable Adeptus May Be Released In Version 6.3
Now, a new Version 6.3 leak has been provided by DK2, which was shared in a post on Reddit. The leak mentions a new playable character, which is currently being referred to as the White Horse Adeptus. The leak highlights that this new Adeptus character is not Anemo. For reference, this new Adeptus is likely not the same as the previously leaked Madame Ping in Genshin Impact, as another leak shared on Reddit says their name is Zibai.
Aside from the unfulfilled leaks about a playable version of Madame Ping last year, there haven’t been more leaks about playable Adeptus characters this year. Now, it seems like the annual focus on Liyue is starting to happen, as 2026’s Lantern Rite should happen at the start of the new year – and, with it, the possibility of a new Liyue character who could very well be this White Horse Adeptus that has been leaked.
Leaks Highlight New Adeptus Character In Genshin Impact
The New Adeptus May Have Lunar-Based Crystallize Reactions
In addition to the White Horse Adeptus Zibai’s reveal, a leak provided by Kokomi, which was also shared on Reddit, says that the upcoming character is a 5-star Geo sword user. They also mention that the new Adeptus character will be a Lunar Crystallize DPS character. The most surprising rumor here is that they’ll be a specialist in Lunar-based reactions.
This is because Lunar reactions have been exclusive to Nod-Krai characters for now. This includes Lauma, Flins, and Nefer in Genshin Impact, for example. Durin isn’t expected to have Lunar-based Pyro reactions because he is not from Nod-Krai. However, it seems like this Adeptus from Liyue may have a connection to Nod-Krai to justify the power over Lunar Crystallize, which has not yet been seen in the game.
For now, all these leaks should be taken with a huge grain of salt, as the more reliable Version 6.3 leaks will only start to emerge with the start of the beta tests in a few weeks. Even so, this is a shocking revelation, as we may not only get a new playable Adeptus, but they may also synergize with Lunar reactions with other Nod-Krai characters in Genshin Impact.
