Martin Scorsese is working on a new Netflix series that takes place in Las Vegas (with no apparent connection to his 1995 movie Casino). The streamer has commissioned eight episodes, with Brian Koppelman and David Levien on board as showrunners and executive producers.
Scorsese is also set to executive-produce the untitled gambling drama through Sikelia Productions. With no inidication yet of who may be in the lead role, the show’s logline reads:
An hour-long drama set in the high-stakes, sharp-elbowed present-day Las Vegas casino business, which is a modernized but still dangerous version of the legendary city. At the center of which stands Robert “Bobby Red” Redman, president of the hottest hotel casino in town, who has to make some long odds moves to try and secure his position and take more ground.
