Dandadan fans may be among the luckiest in anime right now. Just three months after the anime’s second season finished airing, the franchise has already confirmed production for its third season. Dandadan Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
The announcement was made during Jump Festa 2026 by the anime’s Japanese voice actors, alongside a new vibrant key visual. Animation studio Science SARU will once again oversee the production of the smash-hit anime.
Dandadan Season 3 Announces 2027 Premiere with New Key Visual
On Sunday, December 21, Dandadan confirmed the production for the anime’s third season during Jump Festa 2026. Dandadan Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in 2027. This announcement was made with a new key visual in anticipation of the release.
The newly released visual has a different color scheme from the previous seasons, as it utilizes eye-catching purple tones.
The new key visual centers on Okarun and Turbo Granny as both of them are notably shocked and have their eyes wide open. Momo Ayase can be seen crouching beside them on one knee with a suspicious look on her face.
In the background, the key visual features the mysterious girl who emerged from the space kaiju suit and kissed Okarun at the end of the previous season. She can be seen peeking out of her suit in the new visual.
Science SARU will continue overseeing the production of the genre-bending occult smash-hit series.
What to Expect from Dandadan Season 3?
Dandadan’s second season ended right after the mysterious girl emerged out of her space kaiju suit and kissed Okarun. As manga readers would know, this was an abrupt pause for the anime, as there were still a couple of chapters left before the Kaiju Arc ended.
Hence, Dandadan Season 3 will pick up from the end of the Kaiju Arc and continue through the Space Globalists Arc. As teased by the anime, the beautiful girl in the space kaiju suit holds the key to the story.
