Asta and Liebe form an official contract as equals, but according to Nacht, they don’t have a proper union. So Asta has to figure out how to use the full range of Liebe’s Devil Anti-Magic abilities so they can survive future battles.
Nacht Faust appeared for the first time in Episode 165 of Black Clover.
This fight not only builds up Asta and Liebe as equal friends instead of servant and master, but also gives a glimpse into Nacht’s character, who has just a brief appearance near the end of Black Clover’s anime. Furthermore, this shows the reveal of a new form of Liebe similar to Nacht’s devil, Gimodelo, when he first debuted in the series.

This serves to highlight this standout moment for Noelle and Nozel, as they finally fight against the devil who took their mother’s life.
