Demon Slayer fans could be dismayed by The Guardian’s latest report regarding the next Infinity Castle movies’ anticipated release date windows, but it’s still an important update to note. According to the report, as suspected previously, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle parts 2 and 3 are set to release in 2027 and 2029 respectively.
Screen Rant has reached out to international distributors Crunchyroll for further comment. Given the Summer 2025 release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle domestically in Japan before its later worldwide debut, this is a steady pattern to see the franchise through its final installments before the decade closes.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movies Reportedly Set for 2027 and 2029 Release Window
While not entirely unexpected, with speculation already placing these exact release windows for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’s next movies, it’s still understandably a frustrating wait. This is part of the climactic arc poised to close the Demon Slayer saga, after all, and there are plenty of battles left to be fought.
However, given the enormous success of the first film, eclipsing even that of Mugen Train, and anime’s general surging popularity at the box office, it gives audiences something to eagerly anticipate. Additionally, for any studios getting similar ideas to what worked with Chainsaw Man, more successful projects based on existing IPs could emerge as a result.
