If You Missed This Hit Thriller Show With 94% On RT When It Aired, Now’s The Perfect Time To Dive In

Mr. Robot is finally on Netflix, and if you missed the hit thriller show with a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes when it first aired, now is the perfect time to dive in and check it out. Rami Malek’s best movies and TV shows see the actor take on many different characters, but Elliot Alderson in Mr. Robot stands out.

Even though many of us consider Mr. Robot one of the best TV shows of all time, weirdly enough, not everyone has heard of it. Whether you’re familiar with Mr. Robot just by name and are interested in learning more, or have seen the entire show and are excited to revisit it, the gripping title is now available to stream.

Mr. Robot Was A Hit Thriller When It Aired, But It Deserved Even More Attention

Mr. Robot’s Humble Beginnings On The USA Network May Have Hindered Its Popularity

Mr. Robot was popular enough when it originally aired from 2015 to 2019, but surprisingly, it hasn’t been as well-remembered as expected. Rami Malek won an Emmy for his performance as Elliot in Mr. Robot, and it was the role that helped him truly break through, which later led him to his Oscar-winning performance as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Despite being so well-regarded, Mr. Robot was somewhat of a hidden gem for a lot of audiences. It wasn’t exactly clear why this was the case, but the fact that Mr. Robot’s pilot initially aired online and the lesser-known USA Network broadcasted the first season could suggest viewers were unaware of the show until it grew in popularity later.

Mr. Robot’s big twists were what kept audiences enthralled. With each passing season, the stakes were raised, and Elliot’s journey became more interesting. As Elliot’s mental health worsened and the story developed even further, it was hard to ignore the hype Mr. Robot was getting.

Even still, there were many who didn’t pick up on Mr. Robot. For some, they simply never heard about it, and the show managed to slip under their radar. But for others, it was a case of waiting for Mr. Robot to wrap up first before binge-watching it from start to finish (and now, they can.)

Mr. Robot’s story is more relevant than ever, especially 10 years after its release. The show delves into the use of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and mental health, and although these were intriguing concepts back in 2015, they’re even more applicable to our lives today.

Witnessing Malek as anxious cybersecurity engineer and hacker Elliot Alderson slowly descend into further paranoia is a treat for all. The first episode, “eps1.0_hellofriend.mov,” is particularly strong, and it’s considered a perfect TV show pilot that hooks viewers. Naturally, new audiences will start with this episode, but it’s guaranteed that they’ll keep watching after seeing Malek’s Emmy-winning performance.
