A recent Stardew Valley mod drastically transforms Clint into a cocky handsome young man that you can romance. Clint is Pelican Town’s blacksmith, perhaps best known for constantly complaining about his unrequited feelings for Emily. Although not the most hated character in Stardew Valley, players have expressed frustration over his behavior, which can sometimes come off as creepy, especially if the player is in a relationship with Emily.
The new Cocky Clint Mod by Nexus Mods user FluffyFeatherPillow, who says their idea to create a mod that stops Clint being a “whiny loser” was inspired by the character March from Fields of Mistria. Like this new version of Clint, March is young, a bit cold at first, and one of the game’s potential romance options.
The Perfect Mod To Transform Clint
This Mod Makes Clint Less Creepy And A Potential Spouse
The nice thing about The Cocky Clint Mod is that it not only adds a new romance option to the game, complete with unique scenes and dialogue, but it also turns one of the less-likable characters in the game into someone you might enjoy interacting with more. While one could argue that turning everyone in Pelican Town into a good-looking romance option takes away some of the flavor from the game, I would still rather have cocky Clint than the original version.

Even if you don’t want to romance this new Clint, downloading the mod can still be a good option. He at least won’t keep pining after Emily after you’ve married her, for instance. That said, the mod does include a pretty compelling reason to romance and eventually marry Clint.

Using This Mod Can Solve Your Issues With Clint
This new cocky, standoffish Clint is a pretty common romance archetype. There’s something rewarding about seeing a character let their guard down and become more kind when they fall in love. Of course, even if Clint isn’t your type, it could still be tempting to marry him thanks to the benefits this mod gives you for doing so.

If you marry Clint with this mod, you will also get a discount from his store. Because upgrading your farming equipment through Clint is one of the best ways to become more efficient in Stardew Valley, this discount can be a major benefit. That said, I’m not sure the discount would make up for the 50,000g it costs to get divorced in the game, so if you’re going to marry Clint for financial purposes, you better make sure you’re ready to stick it out with him for the long haul.
