There may be a long-anticipated fix in Pokémon Legends: Z-A that may address one of the franchise’s ongoing problems. Several new details about the upcoming Generation 9 title were revealed during the most recent Pokémon Presents event, including the presence of rampaging Mega Pokémon throughout Lumiose City, as well as the new Mega Dragonite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
The game will also be revolutionary when it comes to battles, as it will distance itself from the traditional turn-based system and take on a more action-focused approach. Instead of having PP, moves will have cooldown times, allowing them to be used indefinitely. Furthermore, you will be able to move your Pokémon around the arena, effectively dodging attacks in real time, a major change to battles in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Outfits & Customization Options Have Been Revealed
There Are More Options Than Ever Before
Among the several new details about the game that were presented during the event, Nintendo also confirmed and highlighted that you will be able to customize your character with several outfits and other options. In the video, it’s possible to see a variety of very different clothing and character options that make your avatar unique. Several playable character models were used to exemplify the feature in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Legends Z-A Has Abandoned Pokémon’s Coolest Idea, But It Could Replace It With A Better One
Pokémon Legends Z-A has abandoned one of the best aspects of the Pokémon video games by changing its setting, but it could still come out on top.
This is not exactly new to the franchise; in Pokémon Sword and Shield, as well as Scarlet and Violet, for example, it’s possible to acquire new pieces of clothing and change haircuts and other facial features, for example. Over the past few years, these options have become better, with more choices for players, but they have still been lacking more variety. When playing online, it often feels like your own character isn’t too different from other players’ avatars, for example, as they often share one or more elements.
I May Grind Pokémon Legends: Z-A For Unique Clothing & Character Options
The Game Has Already Shown Better Options Than Previous Titles
Given the small teaser that was shown, I’m already positively satisfied with the variety of customization the game may have to offer, as it already feels like a much better version than what was presented in previous games. Some of these outfits and customization options may be locked behind specific stores and, perhaps, side quests in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and if this is the case, I can see myself grinding quests for hours in search of more customization options.

I’ve Played 600 Hours Of Pokémon, & Legends Z-A May Be The First I Skip
Despite playing Pokémon for practically my whole life and having sunk hundreds of hours into it, I think I may skip Legends Z-A for a crucial reason.
Only the game’s official release will confirm my theory, but I already believe that the upcoming title will be the best when it comes to character customization, something that I’ve been waiting to be adequately addressed for years now. Surely, there may still be some limitations as this is not the main priority for the game, but I may finally have a distinct-looking character in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, hopefully dispelling years of looking like any other Trainer I met in online sessions.
