Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes in Daisy Jones & The Six

While the 1970s setting and musical aspects differ from most of his other fare, Timothy Olyphant is great in Daisy Jones & The Six. Olyphant stars as Rod Reyes, the tour manager for the group and one of the only people who is with The Six from their inception to their ending. Donning wigs and flashy 1970s clothing, Olyphant slips into the role with finesse. While many of the miniseries’ characters are reckless attention-seekers, Olyphant’s Reyes is the perfect manager.

Timothy Olyphant has managed to avoid being typecast.

In theory, this should be an easy statement to make about many actors, as the profession is all about pretending to be someone else. In reality, though, it is impressive that, after several incredibly celebrated roles, Timothy Olyphant has managed to avoid being typecast. Even if his Western roles, like Raylan Givens and Seth Bullock, are what he is most known for, they are certainly not his only area of expertise. Daisy Jones & The Six proved that, in addition to comedy, horror, Westerns, and more, Timothy Olyphant makes one convincing band manager.
