OneRepublic sign a new global recordings partnership with BMG, marking the group’s first new label home in nearly 20 years.

Multi-platinum selling band OneRepublic have signed a new global recordings partnership with BMG to release their upcoming seventh studio album. The first single, “Beautiful Colors,” is set to be released on July 25. The deal marks their first release with a new label home since their breakthrough debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007.

OneRepublic’s debut album included the 20 million selling single, “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and received a Grammy nomination. The band’s sophomore album, 2009’s Waking Up, produced the hit singles “All the Right Moves,” “Secrets,” and “Good Life.” Their Platinum-certified album, Native, followed in 2013, featuring the #1 hit “Counting Stars.”

In 2016, the group released Oh My My, their fourth full-length album, followed by their fifth studio album, Human, in 2021. They most recently released Artificial Paradise in 2024, featuring the single “I Ain’t Worried,” from Top Gun: Maverick. The band has amassed over 18 billion streams on Spotify to date.

“We’re excited to join the BMG family to keep releasing music that our fans will love,” said Ryan Tedder. “Jon and Dan have already been such incredible partners throughout this whole process, and we’re looking forward to their continued support. We can’t wait for our fans to hear our new single, ‘Beautiful Colors,’ inspired by the Japanese anime series ‘Kaiju No. 8,’ coming out later this month.”

“OneRepublic is one of the most dynamic and enduring bands of the past two decades, with a global footprint that spans chart-topping hits, billions of streams, and a deep catalog of era-defining music,” said Jon Loba, BMG President, Frontline Recordings, The Americas. “Their ability to evolve, innovate, and connect with audiences worldwide aligns perfectly with BMG’s artist-first philosophy.”

“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter—not just for the band. Partnering with OneRepublic further strengthens our ability to collaborate at the highest level and deliver for artists of this caliber,” added Dan Gill, BMG EVP, Recorded Music, West Coast. “We are fully committed to supporting OneRepublic’s creative vision and ensuring their upcoming album reaches fans on a scale like never before.”
