Paul McCartney fans are frustrated by presale tickets going for more than $1,500 a pop, with minimum-priced tickets reportedly over $800.

On Tuesday, Paul McCartney fans who registered for the presale for his September 29 concert at Palm Desert’s Acrisure Arena were taken aback at exorbitant prices—if they were even lucky enough to make it to the ticket portal. Prices ranged from $800 to nearly $1,700 per ticket, and presale tickets were sold out within an hour, while some fans noted waiting in the queue for 90 minutes.

“Tickets were $1,659. I stood no chance,” wrote one fan on Instagram. Another fan opined, “How was the minimum priced ticket over $300?! Highway robbery.”

Fans will still have another opportunity to purchase tickets this Friday, July 18, at 10 AM. But some prospective concertgoers were so disenfranchised by the presale experience that they may just leave McCartney singing “You Never Give Me Your Money.”

And it wasn’t just the opening night of the tour that came with a hefty price tag. Fans reported one of the final shows in Chicago going for $1,200, while another noted paying $650 for “nosebleeds” at his Minneapolis show.

“This felt like trying to get tickets to the Taylor Swift or Oasis tours,” said one fan. “The dynamic pricing and bots/resellers made this so expensive and out of control, and I had to wait 197K people deep in my queue.”

That said, Paul McCartney is still one of the most beloved singers of all time, even at the age of 83. In 2009, he headlined Coachella at age 66; he is still the oldest Coachella headliner in the festival’s history.

The former Beatle kicks off his Got Back tour in Palm Desert (the only California stop on the tour) before hitting 15 other cities across North America. The run ends with a two-night stand in Chicago on November 24 and 25.
