Princess Anne has worn some of the most distinctive jewels in the Royal Family for decades and, given her devotion to reusing, they’ve become synonymous with her.
The tiara Princess Anne shared with her daughter, Zara
In the late 1960s, Queen Elizabeth gifted the Meander Tiara to her then teenage daughter. The tiara features a diamond Greek key pattern and originally belonged to Prince Philip’s mother, Princess Andrew of Greece.

The elegant diadem is one of Anne’s favourites and she often reaches for it. She also lent it to her daughter, Zara, for her 2011 wedding.
An unusual tiara for Princess Anne
While the Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara originally belonged to the Queen Mother, she gave it to her granddaughter in 1973 as a wedding gift. The unique tiara has a base of square diamonds and aquamarine stones, square aquamarines on prongs, and several aquamarine pineflowers.
And in true Anne style, she had the central pineflower removed to be worn as a separate brooch.
Princess Anne’s most trusted tiara
In May 1973, Princess Anne received her Diamond Festoon Tiara as a gift from the World Wide Shipping Group after launching the “World Unicorn” tanker. It is thought that the tiara was created around 1900.
The Diamond Festoon Tiara remains a favourite, and the Princess Royal chose to wear it for her 75th birthday portrait.

Aptly named, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip gave their daughter a festoon-style necklace with bow and ribbon designs in the late 1960s, as well as a pair of matching earrings.
Princess Anne’s sentimental jewels
Queen Mary originally Empress Maria Feodorovna’s Sapphire Choker in the 1920s. The stunning necklace features four rows of pearls with periodic diamond bars with a sapphire and diamond clasp. While the young Queen Elizabeth II inherited the major piece from her grandmother upon her 1952 death, she decided to give it to her daughter. Anne often wears this impressive piece for state banquets.

As one would expect, the Princess Royal has an impressive brooch collection like her mother. Thought to be a gift from her parents, one of her larger brooches is her sapphire and diamond brooch. Keeping it in the family, it is a smaller copy of one of Queen Victoria’s brooches.
One of the sweetest pieces in Anne’s collection is her Diamond Bow Brooch. The delicate diamond bow and tassel brooch was a wedding gift from her brother, the future King Charles.
