Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kingdom witnesses decent start at the box office and will face tough competition with Dhadak and Son of Sardaar.
Vijay Deverakonda‘s Kingdom is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The spy-action drama hit theatres worldwide on July 31 and has been receiving mixed reviews. As per the latest update from Sacnilk, Kingdom has been performing decently at the box office, but has failed to cross double-digit numbers.
Kingdom box office day 1 collection
As per reports, the film managed to collect Rs 7.54 crore on its opening day, and the collections are higher than Vijay’s previous release. The Family Star, earned ₹5.75 crore on day 1. The film has failed to beat the opening day haul of Khushi, which earned Rs 15.25 crore and Liger, which collected Rs 15.95 crore.
Kingdom occupancy
Kingdom saw an overall 56.73% Telugu occupancy on Thursday. The occupancy during the morning shows was at 63.56%, for afternoon shows it was 56.52% and for night shows it was 50.12%. Kingdom is a story about a police constable turned spy named Suri, played by Vijay, who goes to Sri Lanka on a mission for the Indian government. He tries to find his lost brother Siva, played by Satyadev. Apart from Vijay, the film stars Bhagyashri Borse, who plays Suri’s love interest in main role.
The film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film has been released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film is expected to earn around Rs 18-20 crore, including pre-sales. As per reports, the film is made on a budget of Rs 130 crore. The film will have a office clash with Dhadak 2 and Son Of Sardaar 2 and will reportedly outperform to give two tough competitions to these films. The movie stars Vijay Deverakonda, Bhagyashri Borse, Satyadev Kancharana, Koushik Mahata, Keshav Deepak, B.S. Avinash and Satya Deva in prominent roles.
