Dhadak 2 starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi has released in theatres. Produced by Karan Johar, the movie has managed to receive positive response from viewers. The gripping storyline that touches upon the topic of caste discrimination has received a thunderous applause from all. Now, all eyes are on the box office numbers of Dhadak 2. Dhadak 2 takes a slow start at the box office
Dhadak 2 starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi released this morning, but much to the disappointment of the makers, the film has taken a slow start at the box office. As reported by Sacnilk.com, the movie has made only Rs 0.98 crore till now. The numbers will grow as the day progresses, however, given the pace, it is highly unlikely that the movie will beat the record set by Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s movie Saiyaara. The movie directed by Mohit Suri had taken a bumper opening of Rs 21.5 crore. The movie is one if the highest grossing movies of this year. Execpt Chaava, Saiyaara has managed to beat all the records set by films like Raid 2, Sikandar and other top grossing movies of 2025. As per the latest reports, the total collection of the movie Saiyaara after 14 days at the box office is around Rs 280.5 crore. It is anticipated that the movie will cross the mark of Rs 300 crore with its India Net Collection.
Will positive reviews help Dhadak 2?
Going by the predictions being made, it is likely that Dhadak 2 may not even beat its first instalment Dhadak at the box office on its opening day. The film that was directed by Shashank Khaitan starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the lead. The film had crossed the mark of Rs 8 crore on its opening day. Dhadak 2 may not be able to touch the mark. It is to be noted that the makers of Dhadak 2 have opted for limited release. The movie had released only in 1000 screens.
